Season one mordecai are margret is kinda relatable by high school college standards but Rigby and Eileen is the the status quo we all try to strive for irl

People are arguing regarding the worse toxicity of either Mordecai or Rigby. They were both toxic and terrible to each other in their own ways. They balance each other out nicely and eventually grew out of those behaviors- together. Which is pretty nice.

Why do people tend to focus on the bad things Mordecai did to Rigby and forget the things that Rigby did to Mordecai ? Can we agree that both where jerks to each other and still are friends

Listen, this is definitely a crappy episode for Mordecai, but comparatively like 99% of the time Rigby causes the problems in Regular show while Mordecai trues to fix it. Rigby even makes it worse sometimes and Mordecai needs to clean up the mess. I’m not say Mordecai is justified for being a simp, but Rigby is certified as a dumb

As much as I hate the word, yeah your theory stands to reason as to mordecai being a simp for Margaret just because her job requires her to be nice to the patrons. Either that or he just has a waitress fetish considering the maid cafe is a real thing. And considering horse kicks have hospitalized many people I can see mordecai beating on rigby sooner then the unicorns just to reflate his ego then standing up to them and getting his ego deflated even more by getting beat up by the very person that punk 'd him. Apart of me also wants to feel like they were trying to help mordecai be more confident and he just took the "lay it down" line literally rather then just saying "hey I like you, you wanna go out sometime?"

Any time Alpha Jay releases a Regular Show review, I stop what I'm doing and immediately watch it. I love his other reviews too, but these ones and the Gumball ones are my favorites for sure!

I love how everyone considers Eileen and Rigby a "proper relationship" when in reality it's pretty toxic in its own right. The REAL relationship people should be striving for is Muscle Man and Starla.

This video made me realize how much they censored this episode here on Brazil, and probably other countries as well Here they censored all the scenes with the women, the reveal of what the "cup of knowledge" was, the unicorns farting on Rigby and, if I remember correctly, even them exploding at the end.

Ok I kind of hate how we vilify Mordecai and see Rigby as this good boy. Yes Mordecai did mistreat Rigby on many occasions but so did Rigby. In the regular show movie it was revealed that Mordecai was excepted to college but Rigby stole his acceptance letter and made a fake on. This made it so Mordecai didn't get to go to college which could have helped him so much. Rigby especially in the earlier episodes causes all sorts of problems such as unleashing the destroyer of worlds arcade machine. This is actually what I like about regular show is that the character dynamics are realistic. It isn't like other cartoons where there is the good one and the bad one both do good and bad things and often have good reasoning for doing it. Take how Rigby treated Don. Yes it was wrong for him to be so mean to his brother and stopping the audit was even worst, but I do think Rigby's dislike of Don caused by his childhood loneliness is understandable. It isn't justified but it's understandable.

Mordecai and Rigby suffer for each other. It isn’t a one-sided thing. There’s a pretty predictable pattern in this show where Mordecai tries to be responsible until Rigby comes up with some stupid idea that gets the both of them in a shitload of trouble. Mordecai isn’t perfect, but neither is Rigby. Sure, Rigby changes more drastically, but let’s not forget the fact that Mordecai starts off as one of the least self-confident characters in cartoon history. Throughout this show, we see him navigating all the insecurities that come with his relationships not working out the way he wants them to. And ultimately, I think what the show eventually builds up to is Mordecai letting go of the past and becoming more content with himself. And that’s what leads to him finding love in the end. It’s fun to buy into the Mordecai simp meme (it really is), but come on. He isn’t Brian Griffin, for fuck’s sake. Mordecai and Rigby are flawed characters fighting different internal battles, but they’re both good at heart. That’s why i watch, and it’s why I love this show to death.

People need to stop dumping on Mordecai all the time. Sure he made some very stupid decisions but Rigby can be just as bad if not worse. And for all those people who call Mordecai a simp, most are not even accurately using that word. I feel that both Mordecai and Rigby can be equally stupid and selfish at times. And lets not forget a certain little college acceptance letter of Mordecai's, not one ever seems to bring this up when mentioning how much better of a friend that Rigby is than Mordecai or any of the other idiotic and selfish things that Rigby has done that Mordecai has put up with.

If I had to explain the Unicorns abrupt turn, I think it’s just because they needed a new target and since Mordecai left and was out of their vicinity, Rigby was the next best thing

For 80% of the entire series, Rigby is the primary cause of everything bad that happens to the characters. And when something starts going good he ruins it. Even after they "redeemed" him he's still one of my least favorite characters

Rigby is definitely way worse than Mordecai as a person and starts the majority of the issues lol while ppl are focused on Mordecais simping. Lets not forget that instead of trying to help him he tried to take the girl his friend Is interested in... Killing him was an overreaction and I don't think he actually wanted to it was just an in the moment rage. I can't even hold the graduation against him it seems so out of character/poor execution

I never understood nor still understand why people would mention how Rigby has been lazy, selfish, and such in the past during early seasons in "Regular Show" like that's a good argument when it's not. If Rigby didn't mature and only has Eileen solely due to plot then I would understand, but the problem is that Rigby matured and Mordecai didn't. In fact Mordecai only started maturing literally during the very last episode of "Regular Show" because if he didn't the only saving grace would be the fight between Pops and Anti-Pops. Let's not forget that Mordecai is the same character that decided that it was a great idea to publicly break up with CJ by hijacking Muscle Man's Wedding because he "still had feelings for Margaret" eventhough he had previously told CJ *TO HER FACE* that he doesn't have feelings for Margaret anymore *(during a Christmas Episode where the show decided to let Margaret exist again mind you)* only to end up kissing her in front of CJ "by accident". I still don't understand why most of the main characters *(along with Mordecai's family)* decided to keep being friendly and continue accosting with Mordecai, especially with Rigby of all people since I wouldn't be surprised that he had to do damage control before he basically questions Mordecai's intelligence. To me Mordecai has always been a terrible character, especially during earlier seasons. I am aware that Mordecai has his moments, but the problem is that Mordecai has nothing going on with him that's even remotely interesting outside of having attended Art School at one point *(only to drop out)* and the Love Triangle Arc that ended so poorly that like I have said earlier I don't understand why most of the characters in "Regular Show" *(especially characters that were close to Mordecai in some shape or form)* didn't almost immediately cut Mordecai off and drop him like a ton of bricks because no sane individual would ever think, "How should I break up? Oh I know! How about I hijack my bestfriend's wedding who made me his Best Man and publicly break my girlfriend up like that? Yeah that's definitely a good idea! What could possibly go wrong?"
