@@RedemptionRave He could do that for anyone. Tekking brings up a good point that the cover stories when it comes to oda cannot be dismissed. Robb swore revenge against spam dam and the world government. and I am looking forward to it. They were trained to infiltrate and this time they infiltrated the highest level available. It may not necessarily mean killing all the celestial dragons bringing about the downfall of the world government

Simplest but also possibly the most likely explanation. Lucci is not very complicated and is a sadist who enjoys killing and fighting. Although it's certainly possible cp9 got cornered and he wanted to protect his comrades as well.

@@buyenho if he tries to just run up on the straw hats in broad daylight Frankie would Nuke his ass with the thousand sunny. Plus Luffy is just one guy, if he works for cp0 he gets a consistent supply of missions and people to fight.

Lucci, if I recall joined the world government because he wanted to be able to kill people legally. Given how CP-0 serves directly under the celestial dragons (some of the most hated characters in the series) it is likely that this would give him many opportunities to do so. That being said, I think he would enjoy the prospect of trying to fight Luffy again.

@@cygnusprime6728 It's not like the strawhats are stuck on their ship forever tho, they stop by on an island, explore it, and Luffy even split up from his crew more often than not. Lucci is trained in espionage and intel gathering, he really doesn't need cp0's help if all he seeks is a rematch against Luffy alone. The license to kill under cp0 might be a likelier reason for him to join, but that doesn't explain Kaku's. It might not be what this video predicts, but there must be another reason why Lucci rejoins WG along with Kaku.

One of my favorite moments in OP was when Kaku heard from Zoro that he was fired and actually seemed a bit saddened. CP9 are surprisingly human for the secret agent/assassin antagonist archetype, and it just makes them my favorite antagonists so far in the story. Enel was cool, the Big Mom Pirates were great, I loved the jailors of Impel Down, etc.... but they can't capture the same spark CP9 had that drew me in. I really can't wait to see more of them in CP Aegis 0 and how their characters have evolved.

Which means he reached Doffy's mastery of haki in 2 years time, or in other world he learnt haki as fast as Luffy or close to him. But I doubt that was the case, I doubt anyone can rival Luffy in haki learning speed. Rob Lucci isn't that young and he has been an assassin since at least 13 y/o, his real battle experience is far more than Luffy who began his voyage 3 or less years ago. They were almost equal in Ennies Lobby despite the difference in age and battle experience. So their growth rate is too far apart in my opinion.

@@FHK_88 Yeah, but Luffy kicked Rob Luccis ass and nobody before him could do that. I think that was a big impact on Lucci and gave him super motivation to train his ass as hard as possible. Of course, he can’t be rival to Luffy anyway, but I think he became much stronger (I doubt that he got promoted to CP0 without getting much stronger)

@@Strawhat.. yeah I agree that he got stronger, but I don't think he reached Doffy's mastery. Doffy was almost equal to Luffy whose growth rate is ridiculous and whose motivation was 1. Can't do anything when Kuma took all his crews 2. Losing Ace. I can be wrong, but I think Luffy should have higher growth rate and motivation compared to Lucci by big margin.

I think that CP-9 was approached by Dragon and he offered them to revenge. Because the WG left them to die at Enis Lobby, they agreed and joined the Revolutionary Army as undercover agents.

The different cp9 techniques are almost certainly precursors to Haki, maybe even the WG teaches it to recruits to see who has aptitude for it, but we never actually see any of them use Haki in Einis Lobby.

@@Deathmare235 naww, its like the little sister of haki. Iron body requires average individuals to remain completely still. And Haki can be activated at will around any part of the body with no repercussions. I think six powers were taught because it's far easier and covenant to learn than having. Haki, has been implied to be very difficult master and even luffy still doesn't have full mastery of his armament yet

You mentioned sending an Admiral and destroying WG from inside, and it gave me a thought: Most of Luffy's former enemies become allies, right? What if the Admiral that got to CP9 first was Aokiji? What if the reason they came back was not just to destroy the corruption in the WG, but to join SWORD? and when the moment comes to join the fight, they join as an Ally to the final fight!

My theory on how they got promoted: Lucci leads them on espionage missions trying to acquire some Intel that would put them into the world governments good graces. They were the ones who found out about Baltigo and the revolutionary army vs black beard pirates incident. To me only something as important as that could make up for their epic failure at enies lobby.

Rob Lucci's tie in story to him and the others joining CP0 is going to be interesting. For the world government to go from hunting them to trusting them with such a critical position is jarring. Either they did a little give and take negotiating, or the government feared what Lucci knew. It'd be more interesting as well if there was someone who stood up for Lucci like Kizaru or Sengoku and negotiated on his behalf.

Nah, no need bc I'd imagine they're stronger than a pacifista (as a team) and now post-time skip, it would make less sense to be pacifistas bc any new world pirates can take them down without much effort

One piece video 34 and 62 days of asking for a series of foreshadowing in one piece where tekking goes and talk about the foreshadowing in every arc and how they impacted it. (Also only doing this for one piece vids so if he make a bleach or other manga video you won't see me do it) (recently found out he knows about the video idea but he's gonna need a lot of time doing so let's just keep the train going until then!)
