मोहम्मद रफी साहब और किशोर कुमार को लेकर उनके अपने समर्थक भले ही आपस में भिड़ते रहे हैं...लेकिन दोनों में अगाध प्रेम था...दोनों एक दूसरे का बहुत सम्मान करते थे...इसके कई उदाहरण है...
गायक होने के बाद भी किशोर कुमार पर फिल्माए गए कई गानों में मोहम्मद रफी साहब की आवाज़ है...कई बार तो खुद किशोर कुमार ने संगीतकार से इसकी सिफारिश की है कि इस गाने में रफी साहब की ही आवाज़ होनी चाहिए...
ठीक ऐसे ही रफी साहब के लिए तैयार कई गानों को आखिर में किशोर कुमार से गवाया गया...लेकिन दोनों ने इस बात का कभी बुरा नहीं माना...
आपात काल में किशोर कुमार पर प्रतिबंध लगा तो रफी साहब ने इंदिरा गांधी से मिलकर उसे हटवा दिया...किशोर कुमार फेमस हुए तो कुछ लोग रफी साहब की आलोचना करने लगे...तब किशोर कुमार ने सख्ती से उन आलोचनाओं पर रोक लगाई...
बावजूद एक समय ऐसा आया जब किशोर कुमार रफी साहब से ऐसे खफा हुए कि उनसे बातचीत और उनके साथ गाना गाना भी छोड़ दिया...

I feel it is a totally useless exercise to compare legends. If one has listened to atleast half of Rafi songs he/she realises Rafi is the powerhouse of singers with amazing and peerless depth, unimaginable accuracy and variety and definitely will emerge as a great singer of the century. When Kishore came on the scene the golden era of songs was nearing its end and commercial aspects and heavy instruments, at the cost of melody,became the order of the day.Naturally the quality took a backseat. However Kishore sung many many memorable songs, especially for RK, and instantly became a hit. He along with RDB emerged as trend setters which suited the taste of young the then generation. There is definitely no reason in comparing both singers as they are two different type of singers.

Kishoredada was not only first preference R.D.B along with. him Rajesh Roshan,Bhappi Lahari,Kalyanji Anandji and after 1969 shankar Jaikishan and Laxmikant Pyralal.K.k voice was suited to all the new dynamic actors,classical knowledge is not only basic criteria of movie music suitabality of voice to particular actor, vocal dynamic , emotional perception and adjustment with modern trends of music previously K.k was dedicated his life as actor along with film direction ,production and music after 1969 he devoted his full time for singing.till his death he was no1 singer😢
