leth theres these overwatch content creators where they have an elo hell series where ppl say they are hardstuck in their rank and they deserve a higher rank so a plat will say that deserve champ so you get a bunch of champs and the plat player to do a 2v2 or 3v3 and in between games they will give the low rank player some tips and you can do like 3-5 games the overwatch content creators will usually have someone else spectating with them to help give tips but thats up to you

Sometimes teammates will start spamming "Take the shot!" "Take the shot!" "Take the shot!" if you're trying to slow it down and be more patient.

Some games I have tm8s that spam “Take the shot!” if it’s anywhere near the opponents net even if there’s several defenders right there and other times I’ll have tm8s spam at me for touching the ball while they’re trying to 1v2 the whole game (literally just had a game where tm8 hit it out mid and I had a wide open shot but they decided they wanted to hit it to the wall and keep following it (the double commit got us scored on and I got spammed for the next 30 seconds))

I find champ to be difficult because there is such a range of mechanics, but the control touches arent consistent, from me too lol. So you go from expecting control and a play upfield to rushing back on D.

Hi leth, really enjoying the series. I have a couple suggestions if that’s ok. When a teammate makes a mistake, instead of only pointing it out, you could focus on how you can work around the mistake yourself or what you could have done to prevent it. At lower ranks, mistakes should be expected, not surprises. Also, it could be useful to have a more structured gameplan or theory of mind for each rank. The play by play is great as well, but I think it could be enhanced with some larger lesson or idea each episode. ie common mistakes in champ or easy ways to outplay champs. Thanks!

I imagine higher ranked players are more likely to be interested in watching RL content on KZfaq, whereas the lower ranked players are more casual. Average rank last season was Plat 2, but I wouldn't be surprised if most people watching are at least Diamond, if not Champ and above.

Everything you say your teammates shouldn't be doing is exactly what everyone of my teammates do and it's so frustrating. Mechanically I'm okay but need to learn a lot more but positionally and game sense wise I feel very confident with, yet I always get chased down by teammates or have them do silly touches that throw off our possession, or they just don't defend or rotate correctly.

bro, this happens all the time. as a plat, some days, it feels like im playing champ 2s that cant flip reset yet, and other days, it feels like i went back to gold. the rotations are nonexistent most of the time. its infuriating to sit in the corner, trying to bait a touch from the enemy, just for my teammate to bump me, losing all his boost in the process, leaving an open net and sending the ball flying directly to the enemy. then the next day, my teammate is hitting the nuttiest ceiling shot, rotating like a ballerina, giving the best passes, and bumping before going back on defense. legitimately champ plays. spend a week in plat, youll see what i mean.

I'm here on the cusp of grand champ and teammates still dive over me to touch the ball when I'm slowing it down to take the space given. I think maybe 20% of players are comfortable with changing the pace and it freaks everyone else out. Just not hitting the ball at the very first opportunity will send an entire team's rotation into chaos sometimes.

You just have to understand it from the other teams perspective. You don't think about the game the same way we do. This rank is plagued with smurfs and people who dont belong here. So when you join a game it just makes it a little unfair despite how easy you go against them. Personally idc I like these vids

Also I think ppl get use to a certain speed of play and can't easily handle slow to mid play as a result. Some of my hardest saves are the ones where I have to wait for the ball. But maybe I'm kbm so maybe it's just harder with on/off controls vs joystick.

@@dfinlen nah thats actually an universal problem. People just chase for the ball trying to get the fastest touch, thats why you can easily outplay them. They dont know otherwise, they will just challenge you out of nowhere, so in offensive it is worth it to pay patience.

I don't get 3s. I'm c2/c3 in 3s and one of my friends is diamond 2/3. There is literally no difference in gameplay whatsoever. Pace is the same, mechanics are the same for the most part. 3s just feels completely random

I love your RL content Leth. I will say however, that your series doesn't seem to be an accurate representation of the current state of RL. Teammates go AFK or forfeit if you have zero boost and take the only available corner boost on the map, forfeit at times that make no sense like when the game is tied or your team is down by 1 and if you don't forfeit they will just leave the game, teammates can be way more toxic than what you're seeing, teammates will intentionally throw because you didn't pass to them or accidentally bump them etc. 2024 RL is full of emotionally immature gamers that honestly need therapy and should seriously just uninstall the game until they learn to develop basic emotional intelligence.
