This “map” gave me PTSD flashbacks to joining a big company and trying to make sense of their insane spaghetti code a decade after the last person who understood it retired. At least if Shark ever says in the future “I can make a map for us to play” we’ll know exactly why everyone yelled “NO!” at the same time.

Us being kept in the dark is honestly the best. I know u must tell us what the video is about in the title when u do the pranks to the team Leth but when all of us are also in the dark this is so much fun to try and understand what's happening (Shark's idea what obviously too complicated though, it should be something that's still guessable)

Basically: 1. If you scored while the ball was below the top of the advertisement (on the side of the arena), you get +1 point 2. When you get demoed, if you spawn on the same side your teammate's car is on, then you get -1 point 3. If your teammate touches the ball, and then you score it (or vice versa), then you get +1 point 4. There was a secret timer after you touch the ball, that counted down to a demo, that resets every time you touch the ball, or if someone else touches the ball (because teh timer then starts for whoever touched the ball). 5. If you were supersonic when you scored, then you get +1 point And all of that is on top of if you score the ball you get +1 point by default. HOWEVER: The game was completely broken, because his code was complex and messy, which resulted in: 1. Rule 4 did not work at all 2. Default scoring was broken, and would randomly work and randomly not work 3. The game sometimes counted yourself or the wall as another player, which would activate rule 3 and give you a point and that's on top of any other broken mechanics he tried adding lol ----- There was very little that actually worked: For example, the below the advertisements = 1 goal thing worked perfectly. This resulted in making the game completely unguessable (which it was already bordering on, due to the insane amounts of changes he made). Honestly, it's a million times funnier that it broke, because if it worked as intended, they would either: A. Never guess what was going on, because they would think it was only one trigger or B. They'd end up guessing them all which would then result in them trash talking the game mode, and just playing normal rocket league (as you see in the video).

I cant believe I ended up trolling myself. Actual explanation below . . . . . So for those still confused, basically a team has to hit the ball consecutively on the ground while supersonic. After it's touched consecutively, a hidden 7 second timer starts. If the other team doesn't touch it within 7 seconds, then the team that touched it gets demoed. Also if both players respawn on the same side, you lose a point.

A map that forces you to practice *passing plays* might be cool. Like having goals only count if every member of team has touched the ball in the last 3 seconds for 2v2 and 5 seconds for 3v3. (Wouldn’t want only the last 2 touches to be hardcoded, because it would prevent dribbles, flicks, etc.)

The way it seemed like it was working, the first 2 games, was that there was like a coin flip chance of triggering an extra goal on accolade, assist with a goal would give 2 goals, first touches sometimes, and juggles i saw give extra points but it was all so random, centers gave points a couple times but didnt most of the time

Leth, hows this for an idea. You have to alternate goals every goal in order to get points. If you are orange, then you have to score on blue, then orange, then blue and so on but keep the spawns the same.

My thought was that if you hit the ball soon enough after someone else then your team got a point and the goal counted as a player for some reason. Even if this might be incorrect I still feel this is a better explanation than the one shark gave.

I am 7:43 minutes in and I wanna say it’s the popups for doing something. Like center ball bc when they scored with no assist it was one point but when they scored with an assist it was 2. Also when they centered the ball it gave a point. Edit: am now at 17:49 and have figured out I was completely wrong

A good map idea is there is one person in a match that whenever they touch the ball a point is scored and then every match it would switch to a different person. There would probably be like a 3 second timer between each touch that scores a point for their team

Hey Leth, I thought wrong at first about what the catch was, but I believe it would be a fun idea regardless. you gain 1 point if the ball rolls/lands (up to you) on the striped colours on the floor (if orange car shoots at blue striped floor on the grass, orange team gets 1 point) and the complete filled out spaces are 2 points and a goal is 1 point This also means, if it rolls from middle to their net, that should be 4 points, because stripes, filled out area and a goal! I'm not good at explaining but hope this wasn't TOO confusing lol

Just had an idea for two BM plugins. 1. Plugin that calculates if you are ballchasing (Honestly would just be pretty funny and maybe even a useful training tool in private matches or something) 2a. Plugin that forces a Bo3 OT 2b. Plugin that forces a team to have to be 3 goals up to win? After 5 minutes? Yeah. After standard play, you must be 3 up. Hell yeah, planning. Honestly no idea if thats something BM is even capable of or whether it would have to be coded into a map. Haven't looked too deep into the docs yet lmao

I think the reason the goal counted as 2 some of the times is beacuse the code acts as the net is a "teamate" and when you boom the ball bellow the ads into the goal it does the add 1 point comand and the goal at once so +2

Also "bellow" dosen't need to be all the way under the ads if its half way in the ads could also count
