I've had mine for 2 years, never had issues with it "not charging well" or dropping battery while gaming. The puck that is necessary for the powerplay is very lightweight and barely adds anything to the base weight of the mouse. The mouse pad is pretty decent size, most gamers don't need anything bigger. I'd recommend using a desk pad and putting the power play underneath it though. It can charge through any desk mat and it just looks cleaner

@@undogmatic Nothing is really wireless. You find the wires, when you look for them.
@undogmatic
@undogmatic 8 ай бұрын
@@Enigma_Real between the mouse and the mousepad, there are no wires physically connected to a connector that you have to connect and disconnect when you want it to recharge the mouse battery, you can move it freely and remove the mouse from the mousepad without having to connect or disconnect any physical wires into a connector on the mouse. That is what it means. This also means that you can move the mouse freely without experiencing any cable drag and other unintended movements/lateral forces caused by an actual cable being connecting to the mouse itself, nor cable length/range issues impeding on the mouse movement, as you would experience with most cabled mice. At no point will you have to physically grab a cable and connect it to the mouse, or swap AA batteries, the recharging is done wirelessly, and not through manually connecting a cable to a connector in the mouse. Thus charging can also happen without said operation, and/or without docking a mouse to one of those vertical docking stations where it needs to sit for a period of time to recharge. The wireless mouse pad solves the issue of forgetting to dock a mouse in a docking station and the subsequent potential interruptions to your workflow caused by battery discharging.
@Enigma_Real

@@undogmatic Dude, Mouse and Mousepad are a System. You could use the mouse "wireless" but you have to charge it with a wire. Or you take the pad with the wire. Anyway, you need a wire that this mouse works. Everything thats "wireless" has wires. Just less wires. "Wirefree" or "works without any wires" would be correct, my friend. Do you understand "wireless" now? A "wirefree" mouse would need solar cells and bluetooth, not a mousepad with induction. Best regards.
@undogmatic
@undogmatic 8 ай бұрын
@@Enigma_Real you do not have to charge the mouse with a wire connected to a mouse USB connector/port unlike regular mice lacking the wireless charging component, which is the whole point. Connecting a wire to a connector on the pad (which is a stationary element in that system) is fundamentally not the same as connecting a wire to the moving part - the mouse - for the several reasons that I have explained extensively above and therefore will not repeat. The list of advantages in that configuration, in my previous reply, differ fundamentally from a mouse with a cable directly attached it, which interferes with the mouse movement. I have also listed the disadvantages of those wireless mice which need to be charged by resting in a vertical docking station (to keep their respective conductive pins in direct contact to one another in their docking counterparts, preventing the usage of the mouse while charging), or the wireless mice that frequently need to be charged by plugging their embedded USB ports directly into a USB cable until charged by X amount.

I wouldn't call it "very small". It's 34x27 cm, slightly larger than SteelSeries "medium" mouse pads and way bigger than your average office pad. If you are used to playing on low sens I can understand the problem but that's not true for all gamers. Also I never had a problem with losing a bit of battery while gaming since you know, I don't use it 24 hours a day but it's "connected" at all times. I had one with a G903 for 2 years and it never ran out of battery once. The right mouse button started to have contact problems before I had any battery issues. So for sure, if you are in a competitive scene this isn't the right fit, but otherwise those downsides are way overblown.

I agree with your point on size but I was excited about the mousepad because I thought it would charge even while gaming so you could use your mouse wirelessly mouse even when the battery is low. @rustkitty

@@_tloiI You are describing an impossible scenario, because the mouse's battery holds a charge that's enough for more than a day. So if you keep it on the pad all the time (as you do with a mouse) it will never get low in the first place. The point is that you never have to think about charging because the mouse is always charging when it's not literally in motion.

Rechargeable battery in my logitech mouse lasts an epoch. Plus the wireless charging mat is about the same size as a postage stamp, so not ideal.

Same "issue" as with Apple's Magic Mouse 2. Like you charge it all the time, while it takes 5 mins to charge it for the whole day if you are dumb enough to forgot to charge it after several notifications.

But the interesting part is that the battery is not charged unless the mouse is used in the middle. Overpriced, so it's a rich man's play pad. This product's charging speed starts to break down after the second year.

It even works with two mice at the same time. I'm using this in my setup for a long time already to keep both G502 Lightspeed of my main computers running. Depending on which machine is running, the other mouse sits in a corner of the pad. Sensor resolution is high enough to play on a small surface without any problems.

Just a tiny info the mouse pad only charges up to 80% in case that makes you wonder. It does that to preserve the battery so it doesnt deteriorate over time and shorten the life battery. At the beginning I thought I had a defect mouse pad but its normal

The little thing you add on the mouse is not a battery. It's a wireless charge receiver, just like some phone cases have those coil things. That's what enables powerplay. The battery is onboard the mouse anyways.

Just use a wired mouse if you’re always gonna have it in the same spot by your pc. This is a tremendous waste of money for a setup with worse latency. I see the appeal for wireless mice with laptops but stationary pc setups def benefit from a simple corded keyboard and mouse setup and you never have to worry about charging the battery ever again. Brands like Logitech will happily sell you as much useless crap as possible and make it look cool to make you feel like you’re upgrading your setup, when in reality it’s a downgrade, and you will need a “new upgrade” in a couple years after the planned obsolescence time comes and the new “truly wireless mouse” offers heated pinky support.
