I just started this series and I have to say Im really enjoying it. The interviewees for all the videos really shared a lot of knowledge in a way that is very interesting and informative, yet not too "heavy" for someone outside the religion. I wonder if this is also partly due to Singapore's stance on being a multi racial and religious society. Kudos to TSL for the execution of this series too

Catholicism is Christianity. The correct word should be protestantism. It will be interesting to see how TSL will cover protestantism as there are many denominations and one denomination does not represent all in protestant christianity.

Catholicism is the original Christianity. I think what you're asking for are those who broke away from the Church which are protestants

Any religion that follows Christ is by default, Christianity. Hence, Catholicism IS Christianity. Those who are from other denominations (eg Methodist, Anglican etc) are usually referred to as protestant Christians (since protestant, implying their protest against catholic teachings and breaking off to form their own churches)

In the taoist episode, Chee Tong put it very well 'Hell is a state of mind'. I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you =/ sometimes life really throws us in the deep end. But believe u're stronger than this - u have the ability to change your circumstances. Things may seem difficult now, but when u overcome them and look back, you'll realise how much you've grown. So, TSL, Mr. Ong, this video is so nice Mr. Ong discussed and asked relevant things about being a catholic in a colloquial way. I dare say, this is one of the top videos anyone in any country or race should watch if they want to learn what bwing a catholic is and as a religion. While it may not be as dwtailed as other videos exploring what being a catholic is? It answers all the common and relevant relevant questions one from another religion/sect may want to know. Bravo TSL 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 As a cradle catholic I cant help but be proud of how the host presented my faith. Its not only enlightening(for me as a 34 y o cradle catholic) but it was also nicely done. Bravo🥳 If you guys do a muslim one, Id be on the look out too 🥰 Have a great rest of the week TSL

Yeah I really don't get those ppl who are like erm ackshually catholicism isn't a form of christianity, like yes absolutely they have differences between protestants and catholics but the key idea of it is the same and it's similar enough that i don't think you can say that one isn't Christianity

Life is unfair & difficult at times but we're all give free will. As long as you're alive, you take the opportunity to overcome the bad to turn it to good. I have a parent who is narcissistic too & was mentally messed up but I don't want to be stuck such a situation neither do I want others to affected by it so I try to change my mindset.

@@huahua19 it's so difficult to control my own mind. what they taught or told me. What I learnt since birth. Vs to catch myself in time and "CBT" myself even when I don't quite believe what I'm supposed to believe. Eg they said I have a bad heart I look ugly, they know cos they stay with me, nobody will hire me, after years colleagues will see my true colours... Versus the normal I tell myself it's ok I'm okay I'm alright those are lies those are nasty lies terrible things to say things that shouldn't have happened... The mental effort or toll is so tiring

In the Bible, pray is worship. No such thing as we pray to something or someone but we don’t worship that something or someone. If that were true, Christians and Catholics can pray to anything claiming they are not worshipping the object. While Virgin Mary is very well respected which she rightly deserves as the mother of Jesus, no where in the Bible was she given authority or leadership by Jesus and or God the Father. There was also nothing in the Bible that says Virgin Mary will intercede the prayers of believers. Only Jesus is given the authority in the Bible to intercede for believers when we pray. That’s why all prayers end with In Jesus’ name. I made these comments with due respect to all Catholics of whom many are my friends. Whatever believers do must be confirmed in the Bible which is the word of God. Any practices that are not in thr Bible are simply human traditions or human interpretations which are not God’s word and could potentially stumble believers. There are many articles and videos commenting on this subject of praying to Virgjn Mary and I advice you to go read / view them and judge for yourself whether praying to Virgin Mary is scripture based or not. Praying to Virgin Mary is a catholic tradition and nothing more. It is not scripture based. This is one of the many videos debating on the subject of praying to Virgin Mary. She is an intercessor to help us with our pleas to God.. Praying does not mean worshipping. It's like when we pray to angels is asking for their assistance as we worship God. Many of my prayers were answered through her help and I'm very thankful.
