Love the longer form around 10 minute videos. I feel like it gives a nice amount of info and helps you troubleshoot if you are having a problem with your cat.

Our two cats, a year-and-a-half-year-old ginger male and a 10-month-old calico "graze." They do not eat like there is no tomorrow. The feral kitties we feed do not gulp their food, either... Lots to be grateful for! ❤❤❤

For wet food I just put 3 separate small piles around the plate I feed my kitten on and put a heavy glass bowl in the middle of it. Forces her to move around the bowl, use her tongue and paw more to get the food which in return slows her down so shes not inhaling her food. She was dumped and left outside to fend for herself. Shes just a tiny thing. Shes around 8 or 9 months old. But was definitely starving and hardly had anything to eat. So glad shes with me now! Can be a little turd but shes a teenager..gotta expect it!

Yes ! The long form is back ! A much more relaxing pace and delivery .Very informative as usual .Thankfully my cat is the little and often type by nature and he doesn't eat as if he's in a pie eating contest .

I have a senior cat (14 in August). I feed her dry food 5-6 times a day, a tablespoon each time. But she's a regular little piglet! She will huff that food down in seconds, and generally regurgitates it almost immediately . Her weight is healthy (8-9 lbs) and she drinks a good amount of water daily. Sometimes I put her food in her Pull-n-play in an effort to get her to slow down. I've taken her to the vet, who ran a full panel on her, to no avail. Any suggestions?

Know what you mean. A friend of mine had to hand-feed their overweight old cat literally 3-5 kibbles at a time, very frequently. Otherwise it was binge-and-purge.

I have one cat that does that. Mr Big is a former abandoned stray who I took in. I noticed how he was VERY protective of hiss food. It was more than just "HEY! You eat YOUR food!" but, more like "YOU TOUCHA MY FOOD I BREAKA YOUR FACE!!!" type of protective. It took him quite some time to settle down and get to understanding that he didn't have to worry about going hungry anymore.

Glad to hear you're back. Yes I have a bunch of piglets also. If I see them grazing a bit too much I tell them to break it up. It might be more competition. I think they are just spoiled. Thanks for the info😻

I like the longer format with more detailed information. My cat tends to eat too much and too fast when he gets “new” food- a different brand or flavor, or even a newly opened bag of what he’s been eating. I found that mixing new and old helps a little.

I ENJOY EVERY SENIOR CAT INFO VIDEOS. I have a 20 yr old Bombay. She is luckily in good health, BUT I think Her hips are starting To brother her. Today when I took her to "The Pet Pawlor" To get Her nails trimmed.. And when thé groomer lifted Her back leg To trim nails, my BABY hissed at Her. And "Baby" does not normally his at Anyone. So I am thinking that my cats hips many be hurting due To old age. arthritus.

20 is certainly a golden age. Please contact your vet about potential solutions. There are several remedies available for stiff joints and arthritis.

I like to jokingly talk to the old cat, saying he's an Olympic champion of kibble finishing x) He sure loves food, but he eats at a normal pace, well licking off the grease before swallowing the bits. On the other hand, when you cuddle him while he eats, it seems to increase his appetite, go figure!

I agree i like the longer form videos. One thing you didn't mention which might also help with those cats eating because they are bored and less stimulated is food ball toys are even making smart toys with dry food or using kongs for the wet.

Cats will normally eat really fast if there's something wrong with them health wise, or if they feel threatened in some way, its usually a bad sign, there might be another cat or some other animal trying to steal their food or is just bartering them in some other way.

My experience with cats eating too fast...one I knew grew up with a lot of other cats and I assume the pervious owners didn't checked who ate what, so he learned to eat fast lest his food was eaten by the other cats, the other I'm 100% sure other than that he was as tray cat for a while -I think he was dumped in a popular pet dumping place, found his way to a family who already had too many cats so they put him up for adoption. And I think him being a stray for while shaped his eating habits, as the third cat, we had from kitten, was slow eater, because we made sure each cat ate their portion.
