We don’t worship on Sunday, everyday is worship we meet on Sunday to encourage one another and give praise to god.

God. You meet in Sunday because the catholic church instituted it. God's law--His commandments--never changed. It was man who changed it and replaced His law with tradition. Most Protestant denominations, after leaving the catholic church, kept Sunday. But that's not God's way. He only hallowed and set apart the seventh day Sabbath.

@@nadiar.7788Catholics changed the 2nd commandment so they can worship idols like Mary. I found this out about a year ago. Many Catholics don't even know this. Anyways, lets reserve our worship for the Lord and him alone.

@rinihogewoning6528 What you have said is inaccurate. Catholics worship only the triune God. Heretics, who hate Jesus and attack Him by trying to diminish the body of Christ, which is His church, stir up division and strife among the denominations. Pentecostals allow women to preach, and Baptists prohibit dancing, and Church of Christ shuns music. All of those are directly contrary to the Scripture, yet they all are Christian denominations. If your denomination lasts 2,000 years, surviving the rise and fall of numerous world empires, then your descendents will have more bad doctrines than you already do. That doesn't mean they won't be Christian. Catholics profess the actual, true Gospel every week. When was the last time everybody in your church stood up and announced the Good News of Jesus?

@@nadiar.7788 true!...there are many things we do not know or understand of the bible...however, there are clues: 1) the pope has gathered all religions into one and that ONE WORLD church is mentioned in Revelation; it's not the muslim faith...2) the catholics have changed the 10 Commandments of God...3) the origins of pagan christmas celebration was brought about the catholics (research it)...4) the pope said he would baptize aliens from space if they wanted to...etc. etc. etc

Apostle paul said in Romans “One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God. For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:5-8

In this passage apostle Paul explains that we aren’t required to worship on any particular day or regard one day holier than another as some Jews during his day were thinking. They thought they were under the law needing to observe the sabbath. Some modern day Christians believe we can only worship on Saturdays. And others think we changed the sabbath to Sunday which is not true either. Worshiping on Sunday as a modern Christian has nothing to do with the sabbath. And we aren’t required to observe the sabbath day. Christ fulfilled the law and is our sabbath rest. Although we are called to obey His moral law, the sabbath observance has shifted from a day to a man. It’s the only commandment that is required of us in the New Testament.

Romans 14:5 In the same way, some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike. You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable. Deuteronomy 5:15 Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out with his strong hand and powerful arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to rest on the Sabbath day. Mark 2:27 And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Acts 15:28 28 “For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay no greater burden on you than these few requirements: 29 You must abstain from eating food offered to idols, from consuming blood or the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality. If you do this, you will do well. Farewell.” If the Gentiles were meant to follow the Sabbath, the apostles had the perfect opportunity to when writing them instructions in the book of acts. They did not. If you feel you need to worship the Lord on Sabbath and follow his commands, if your conscience directs you to do so, do not violate your conscience. But do not judge others for not doing as you think they should. It's between them and their conscience, them and God. You can try to correct people in love if you feel they have erred, but do take the log out of your own eye first.

@@JosiahFickinger One way to keep the day holy is by communing with other saints. Hence, the church experience where you can encourage others and be encouraged and keep your mind focused on God.

Sabbath was Given to Jewish People due to the LAW( Mossaic) but we ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW, we ate under a New COVENANT, THE BLOOD COVENANT, now our REST IS ON OUR LORD JESUSCHRIST. WE REST ALL DAYS.

Isaiah 56:6-7, “Also the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, To attend to His service and to love the name of the LORD, To be His servants, every one who keeps the Sabbath so as not to profane it, And holds firmly to My covenant; Even those I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” In all my study I have yet to find a verse in New or Old Testament that changes the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday.

Sunday nor Saturday was not set aside by the apostles for worship. Religion of churches began this practice with many other by laws.

The video made a incorrect claim. Scripture actually does mention Saturday as the Sabbath. Sabbath is written as begining from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. The names of days are not spoken of, buy they are numbered like the 7th day. Considering ancient Hebrew used basically the same Calander to identify weekly days as is still used today, we can determine the 7th day is Saturday and the 6th day is Friday and the 1st day is Sunday. The practice of gathering on a Sunday was due to a political compromise. In Ancient Rome, Christianity was illegal before Constantine and Christians were persecuted. Many died for their faith. Constantine came along as Emperor and early in gis life he was still aligned with Rome's Pagan traditions. By his day, Christianity has spread vastly throughout the empire, including to his own mother. He identified a political advantage to not only stop their persecution, but sanction Christianity. But the empire was still mixed between Pagans and Christians. In order for Christianity to gain it's legality under Roman law, a compromise was made in a deal negotiated at the Council Of Nicea. They would move the sabbath to Sunday, under the pretext that it was the day Jesus was ressurected, but the truth is that the Pagan traditions of the Roman empire had influenced that decision as well because Sunday was the day Roman Pagans dedicated to their so called "sun god" where they worshiped the sun. The Sabbath being moved to Sunday was influenced by politics and pagans. Saturday is and has always been the real Sabbath day. (Friday @ dusk to Saturday @ dusk).

Worshipping on Sunday is breaking the Fourth Commandment. REMEMBER (which means not to forget) to keep Holy the Lord's Day. Holy as in worship to the Holy One.

As a christian who uses sunday for worship, my arguement to sabbatarians who judge me by saying that "sunday worship isn't commanded in scripture, therefore you're breaking the sabbath", my responses are; 1. Jesus observed the Hanukkah (Festival of Dedication) in John 10:22, the only festival/memorial not commanded by God in the Torah....meaning this festival is a tradition of man, but Jesus observed it. 2. The disciples worshipped Jesus on the resurrection day in Matt. 28:8-9 and were never met with judgement or correction by Jesus, but their worship (on this non-sabbath day) was fully accepted by Jesus.

The apostles never used Saturday nor Sunday as a worship day. The OT laws of worship do not apply to the Church. Christians are allowed to gather on any day or night of the week for worship. Sundays are not declared anywhere in scriptures for worship.

The Jewish believers in the first century would meet with other Jews on the Sabbath as their traditions required, and to take opportunity to preach the gospel among the Jews; but the Gentiles believers were not going to be there because they were not circumcised in the flesh. So the believers would all meet together on Sunday for fellowship between Jewish and Gentile believers. Some traditions get started for very practical reasons. We no longer have to bring sacrifices for our sins every day so we may have our sins mitigated. That is Sabbath times seven, as it says in Hebrews.

@@n-motion9318 thank you got your reply! I recognize I wasn't clear with what I was asking. I understand that the sabbath was a command given to the Israelites in tn OT. It was the last day of the week--Saturday. I don't see any evidence that the day has ever changed. I also understand that we as Christians are to keep the other 9 of the 10 Commandments because 9 are repeated in the NT. But the command to keep the sabbath isn't repeated in the NT. Colossians 2:16 states,“Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day” So, given this information, and the fact that the early church met on Sundays to celebrate Christ's resurrection, I'm wondering why 7DAs meet Saturdays (I'm not being argumentative and don't think they're sinning my doing so. I'm genuinely just curious)

It’s Sun day. The day the sun was worshipped. God rested on the 7th day, sanctified it and set it apart for a holy purpose. He sanctified and set apart no other day.

Constantine wanted Christans and Sun worshippers under control. So he made Sunday the official day of rest of the Roman Empire. The ladies went to the tomb when Sabbath ended and X was risen. Keep the Sabbath worship when you like.

Yes, it's a commandment. As per David in Psalms, God's law (commandments) is everlasting and righteousness. Everlasting means it lasts past today, into heaven because they worship Him there. To get into heaven, you must be found righteous, and keeping His law is part of that.

Sabbath and “first day of the week” are two different things. Sabbath is the day of rest. Think about what the commandments say. We are to worship Jesus everyday. We are to rest one day out of the week. We are to congregate with fellow believers. If we are being legalistic in our approach, it’s incorrect. For example, someone that has to work a graveyard shift to provide for their family is not necessarily able to meet mankind’s definition of the legalistic approach to believing, following and worshipping Jesus.

My spouse is a SDA. They believe God kept the Sabbath in Genesis 2:2. Combine Genesis 2:2 with Exodus 20:8 and then add the fact that Jesus observed the 7th day sabbath (Friday sunset to saturday sunset) as commanded by the Law/10 commandments, therefore true followers of Christ ought to do the same as Jesus did....stir it in bowl and you have SDAists and the Hebrew Roots Movement. They fail to understand that the sabbath was a memorial for the Israelites of their slavery and God's hand in deliverance from slavery as Deuteronomy 5:12-15 teaches. This is why the Sabbath is the covenant sign between God and the Israelites......not the gentiles.

Sunday was traditionally the first day of the week, even the term used to refer to Sunday in Hebrew, Arabic and Persian means "first". Therefore, as traditionally the last day of the week, Saturday is the correct Sabbath. The reason church services were moved to Sundays were both to differentiate it from Judaism and to coincide with many pagan traditions of worshipping on Sunday. TL;DR: Saturday is the Sabbath, moving it to Sunday was just marketing.

@@LoCoWi I am SDA and it is my first time hearing this argument. I find it interesting. Notice that the commandment in Exodus is God speaking - and the same words were written by God in stone (Exodus 31:18, btw Exodus 31 is popular text in the SDA church ). It is different from Dueteronomy 5 which is Moses speaking to Israel recounting the event to the Israelites. Moses recount doesn’t even reference creation the way God does in Exodus 20. I would not base doctrine on this detail used out of context- but instead take the words God (spoken and written in stone).
