125% for expensive car TAX and another TAX from "On the Road Paper" and another things and another things. so yeah.... maybe 200 or 300% TAX total from the original price example, like a new A90 Supra price is $50.920,00. After come to Indonesia, the price become $142.152,00 and that's not include "On the Road Paper" and other tax or document. so maybe $145.000-$150.000 the total price. for old JDM, it's really rare in this country, because there is a ban on importing used or old cars into Indonesia, that's what makes old JDM cars have very expensive prices. sorry for my bad English.

as cool as the car culture is, i just want to point out that "hobby cars" and even aftermarket parts are very inaccessible to the general population here in indo. we will always end up paying double/triple the price here for cars like the s-chassis, miatas, even the EGs (most of which would be affordable cars in other parts of the world.) so most of us would usually end up modifying whatever it is that we have at home or at least whatever is most accessible. so at least 70%-80% of the builds that you'll see in Indonesia is going to be Honda Fits (here its called jazz,) E36s, civics, cars that are actually sold at mass. and since aftermarket parts are so expensive for the amount of salary that we get, we usually have to end up fabricating a lot of the parts that can be custom made. suspension arms? weld it at a local shop. coilovers? go find a local suspension shop that make them for half the price of branded ones. big brake kits? we buy fortuner brakes and just paint them red! even some of the more diehard car enthusiasts have to eventually fall out of love for it and switch to motorcycles and scooters because its a lot more accessible/cheaper. so yeah, THAT is the car culture i experience. that, is the car culture most people live through. so at least to me, that is Indonesian car culture.
