I have low self-esteem.
In fact, I've always had low self-esteem.
I have always had low self-esteem, but I just seemed to have confidence.
When I confessed to H one day many years ago that I had always had low self-esteem:
"Last night I had a long talk with H about my low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence:
H: I don't understand why you don't have confidence, you may not look good but you are handsome!
Me: What? What? I'm handsome but not good looking? What do you mean?
H: Like me, I'm figuratively handsome. I'm tall, well-built, with a pretty face and a straight nose, and you're behaviorally handsome!
Me: You're just handsome in behavior?
H: Right! If you live a life where you don't care about anything and don't care about anyone else, you're pretty cool!
Me: ..............
Is it positive or negative?
Do you want to have a long talk or not?
---------------
Beating yourself up is a lifelong endeavor."
Yes, after I finished the above conversation, I fell into a black hole of tracing the root cause of my low self-esteem for a whole year.
I found the cause, slowly understood it, and then let it go.
When it disappeared, it was silent and I didn't even realize it.
I didn't realize it until I thought about it again.
Sometimes it's a joy of life to see the footprints of the path I came from.
