Just got one today but couldn’t reset the ECU in my 2013 Isuzu I’m new to this so do you know Why or have any suggestion?

When you go into your settings, you can look at your application for software as you had in that scanner. In certain cases, you have to purchase the other software.

Does the Pro Link give repair info, step by step instructions on repairs and torque spec info?

Yes, it does but you have to sign up for further features . I can get the information on that for you.

Is it worth buying a scanner at this point in time (04.2024)? How much is the additional software and subscription fee per year (if any)?

There is no annual fee or subscriptions, no extra computer needed. You pay for each manufacturer software individually and that’s it. Its pretty pricey but worth it in the long run.

Great review young one Very well done yI would say the bets Review on the Snap on that I have seen to be honest I give you 5 out of 5 Greasy wrenches ..a perfect score ................I tried the Pro link and found it fell sort of the Bosch but is a huge step above Jpro but the price of it is what kills it what i offers Vs the Bosch it was in my opinion not worth it at but at the end of the day the top 2 Units I used where a Tie between Cojal and Texa they are both far superior to any other diagnostic tool or software far better priced and far more expansive and far better coverage and function and are the closest you will get to using the actual OEM software's at the end of the day I took the Cojal because it was far more robust in Agricultural Equipment an Generator units

Thank you very much I have other videos using the scanner explaining other features well using it. I like it, but it is pretty expensive than the other ones, for me is just a straightforward, more simplistic use than J pro. I haven’t use the Bosch or the Cojal or Texa before. I will be doing a review on the snap on ethos edge automotive scanner soon.

I was using this scanner on a Mack with a mp7 motor and I couldn’t do a master reset on the regen system and soot level wouldn’t go down. Usually with laptop you can do master reset. Was wondering is there something I need to get or is this scanner incapable of doing that?

Yes, for this particular scanner if you don’t have the master set, you will know if you have the master set. On the scanner, you have to buy the software yourself individually.

Compared to insight I don’t think I can justify buying this. I do like the cylinder cut out test option though. Not enough for me to spend 8 grand more

The best way to get one unlocked all software is to pick up a used one at a pawn shop then trade it in with your dealer. Trade transfer program all you're currently software is moved over and updated to latest software and you get a discount on the unit. I did this exactly bought a pro link ultra with all software payed for at my pawn shop for $1100 trade transfer on the March promo for the edge and got everything for $2800 new unit with all current software Detroit Cummins Cat Paccar.

@@DocsPropShophave you used paccar software yet? Does it do force regens and take off the derates with the flashing red light on the Mx platform for example mx13

I was saying the same thing when I first had gotten it due to being so spoiled using the laptop. When you log into certain trucks, does it give you different options on the test tab?
