if your stack pipes getting coked up...burn wood that has a high temp to it for a few nights, get it raging but keep your eye on it, it burns away the coke...this happens when you burn a lot of coal, failing this i get on the roof and throw a long chain down, rattle it around a bit and hoover it out at the burner end

I'm going to try pulling my knackered flue liner out from the stove area as opposed to the chimney. Did you say that that's how you did it? Was it not attached to a cowling at top?
@wallingtonfilming7 ай бұрын
I don’t think there’s any left near the chimney area I just pulled it down and hope for the best, why would you have a 6 inch pipe going up your chimney instead of the 12 to 18 in.² hole? 🕳️😀

@wallingtonfilming yeah I know. I figured this out before finding your video. The chimney sweep came into my house all fear provoking which ain't do shit with me. My friend is helping me tomorrow so 🤞

@@wallingtonfilming was it difficult to pull out?

@wallingtonfilming I've seen plenty people and videos claiming that those chimney cleaning blocks don't work but the chimney sweep admitted to me (after realising i was questioning everything he said and not allowing all the fear stuff to make decisions for me) that they actually do work. Then I realised these blocks could put people out of jobs so that's probably where the claims that they don't work are coming from

Not a ton in weight but a ton bag ?
@johncrabtree77096 ай бұрын
Exactly what he says it’s not a ton of wood but it’s in a ton bag If you filled a ton bag with sand it probably weighs around a ton but if you fill that ton bag with feathers the feathers don’t weigh 1 ton so if filled with wood it would weigh a lot more than feathers but it’s not a ton in weight :)

The reason you put a liner in is, because your chimney isn't designed to take the heat of a stove. ..open fire yes .... 13kw stove no ! .. chimney fire anyone ? .p.s get the flue swept and you won't have that issue. ...some of the worst advice from someone who already admitted they weren't an expert.
@wallingtonfilming2 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree with you, a 12 inch chimney compared to a 6 inch liner is no comparison. This is what they used to do with cast iron burners back in the day straight up the chimney 6 in pipe is obviously going to get blocked very easily, that’s why they make these regulations so you put a 6 inch pipe up your chimney £100 a metre to keep people in jobs and companies making shit loads of money out you regulations what a load of bull.
@sixfootplus2 жыл бұрын
@@wallingtonfilming 'they used to do ' ...And stainless flue is about £20 a mètre. Not £100. 6" does not get blocked if you use properly seasoned wood and get it swept every year (about £35) ... BS about keeping people in jobs ?.. Doesn't cost a huge amount to get it done right. Old chimney bricks and mortar were not built to withstand the high temperatures that stoves generate, and they hold more creosote, but flues are not the ultimate.. a fire rated brick chimney flue system is.
