When I learned Italian, I was shocked at how Italians say certain things. In Romanian, you'd say, "Mi foame, mi sete, mi cald, mi frig, mi frica, mi somn", etc. We ask, "Ti foame? ti sete? Ti cald/frig/somn?" Depending on the question, we also ask, "Tu ai un moment?, Ai timp? Ai patienta? Also "We're Hungry" isn't "Avem foame" (or like Italian, "Abbiamo/avemo fame") but "Ne este foame". Very interesting how we developed Latin to our own regional preferences over the centuries. Never fails to fascinate me! ❤

This is very good. Thank you. And your English is fantastic! While my context is old Sicilian, I know I have heard from mi' nanni and I believe I have in Tuscany as well the question 'Are you hungry?' phrased as: Ci hai fame? or C'hai fame?. I hope I spelled those correctly, Does that mean anything different than 'Hai fame?' Also is the phrase C'hai 'ppetito used or is that dialect? Grazie

Wonderful! Yes, correct! The expressions you mentioned are definitely regionalisms, but the meaning is the same as 'hai fame'?
