Funnily enough I played Jack Bros for the meme but actually found it to be a really fun and nicely designed game, so I ended up finishing it Though, I was playing on an emulator, and I changed the colours from red and black to blue and black, so really I was cheating by avoiding the headaches!

Fun fact: Golden is when they stopped actually using the SMT brand for Persona in the west. In Japan, Persona was never marketed with the SMT name at all, but it was otherwise acknowledged as a subseries.

agreed, I just crushed a doubled runthrough at about 200 hours and then started 5 and like...5 is FANTASTIC but I think Nocturne kinda stockholmed me. the game just has such a vibe to it, it feels like a ps1 game that got made on ps2 and the remastered for ps3 before releasing on ps4.

@@theburgersystem126 Nocturne is on the PC and I'm sure that most pc's can handle it. And like another comment said, 3DS' are super inexpensive nowadays. Just hit up a local flea or farmer's market and I'm sure that you can find one.

Hey, I'm playing Nocturne now! No idea why I keep getting recommended these videos though, I haven't searched up anything about Megaten before. I beat first boss at the end of the hospital and just got through the Amari network to that town that starts with G. I'm too low leveled to do any of the really good fusions, though.

I played Persona 5 and I do want to play SMT, maybe Apocalypse first. My interest is totally not almost completely derived from the kickass battle theme. Okay maybe I do think the edgy protagonist looks cool but the kickass battle theme

Apocalypse wouldn’t be a good place to start, y’know, with it being a sequel and all (plus the writing is largely different from most other smt games). I’d say just start with SMT IV or if you want some classic dungeon crawling shit like the first Phantasy Star: play Strange Journey first. (Strange Journey was my first)

@@PlumbumJelly if you want to play a great smt game then soul hackers is definitely the way to start. it has almost all the hallmarks of smt games so depending on what you liked, you can decide what game to continue after that
