I honestly feel pretty bad right now for forgetting the name of the person who sacrificed their save data to help me defeat the dreaded credits. From the USA to china, thanks my dude.

When I was fighting the end credits and started seeing all the messages not to give up and to be strong, and finally when "players" came to my side to help and the musical score changed into somewhat of a choir, as if representing all the people willing to help, I had the biggest smile on my face. This is one of the moments I live for in gaming. I'll never forget this amazing sequence. True art.

Seeing pascal's downfall was THE MOST painful thing in the game to me.

I finish ending A and B, I had to stop playing for a while because it made me a little bit depressed and think of the concept of life, and what it means to be human. Very deep game.

This reached me, i cried when i realized all the help i got was players that gave up their save data and all the messages were other players too 😭

I 5000 PERCENT AGREE DUDE!! I exactly know what your talking about I cried so much at the end of E. Because the game is so intense the whole 40 hour play through, ending E felt like someone had taken a massive weight off my shoulders. I will never forget about this game and it now is my #1 game of all time!

The games are art. There is no better medium for storytelling, which is evolutionary bounded with our existance(people always needed stories, myths, legends etc.). This one of the game which proves this. A masterpiece in every bit. True work of art. For me it was amazing how the authors played with the very form of video game - the fact that the player needs to play the game several time and this profound ending with getting help from other players which have sacrificed their save files. I just finished it couple hours ago and I still cannot calm down. It was one of most impactfull and important experience in my life. I am really thankful to the authors.

End E is probably the "Happy" Ending. The two machine/android men as well as the three androids 2b,a2, 9s all survives, and probably has a life together.

I completed the game last night and achieved ending E and cried my eyes out at the credits of how beautiful it was and thinking of the over 40 hour journey I walked, and just felt so blessed to play such a spectacular game with love and passion put into it, I need a sequel so badly cuz I can’t stop thinking about the games story, characters and environment, and the music! So much and really wanna know what’s in store for 2B, 9S and A2 In the future 😭

It's just something about Nier Automata is something special. I felt emptiness, and sadness when. 2B died. And felt sad seeing 9S go down hill, and kept being reminded that 2B was gone.

No other game has made me sit back and genuinely just think on what I’d just played, no, what I’d just EXPERIENCED the way this game did. I genuinely believe in my personal opinion this game was the single greatest masterpiece of art I’ve ever experienced.

Dude I felt real hard emotions from this game it’s more than art it has made me cry 5 times and the end E was even more impactful just from how everything plays out to the end I will never forget this game. I will remember it to the end and for my future career path.

I suck at the bullet hell portion, and kept avoiding hacking for that reason. Since the pandemic I've been having a hard time keeping up with raising a family and having 2 jobs. When I was offered help in this game and when the chorus kicked in, I started to cry. Never felt like this for a game before.

I don’t cry easily either, but when you get the rescue offer, the chorus amplifies, and the other players surround you to help you…holy SHIT that got me. Thank you for making this video

I just best the game, and saw all the endings, including this one. It was definitely very emotional to me too. The soundtrack made it go further too.

I just finished the game and that moment gave me goosebumps. Everyone said you wil cry and Up unitl the point when you see the encouragement of the other players the music during that time made me cry. Holy shit this game..

Ending UUE: [U]nbelievable and [U]nforgettable [E]xperience Big thanks to the friend of mine who told me about the NieR games and bigger thanks to the whole team who created this series. This whole series was just without flaws for me personally. The absolute best games of my life.

Something I always remember is an interview where Yoko Taro talked about seeing people who play his games express that they think life is painful, or that they are depressed, and how even though these were strangers to him on the internet, because they knew about him and his work, that he felt connected to them. This ending almost feels like that same concept; a reminder that even when you are alone, you have many connections to many people, and in the grand scheme of things, you are not truly alone

Bro same, I hadn’t cried to a game before either until this. Literally the fact that people have erased all those hours of time they’ve put into this game to help another player, me, brought me to tears 😂 for me I still think ending E is pretty depressing. They’ll have to repeat this many times since there’s such a small chance of it working

All I can say is thanks for sharing cause I have just got the game and expirienced it for the first time and I really do feel emotional about how it strives to bring in a chance of hope in ending E.

i just finished this game last night and, yeah, it got some tears from me too. what an absolute ending. i could not stop playing, and was very much driven by a desire to see if there was some hope to be had. when they delivered, yeah, that felt good. i even went right through with sacrificing my data even though i had a few side quests left to finish (didn't realize at the time it wouldn't in some way be a false ending itself), but i want to see the story again with new perspective and i think i'll just playthrough another time. cheers.

The emotions if this game is all the more augmented by its soundtrack. Nier automata is way high up there on my all time favorite list.. i played and finished this in 2020 with all the pandemic going on. All the more emotional

I cried during the entire credit fight, only crying harder as I saw the encouraging messages... And it's taking me days to recover from this game, but I will never regret playing it. It's truly a masterpiece.

When I started the end game shooting credits, I had no idea what was going to be needed to finish it. As it went on, Im like ok, this is taking a while, but I was gonna be damned to give up. So I pressed on, dying over and over near the end of the squareenix popping on the screen. I denied the choice at first since was other things i wanted to do. But eventually i did. Its sorta calming, knowing that you hopefully are helping someone else achieve that true ending.

Besides Nier: Automata the only other game that made me break down in tears was Red dead redemption 2

Just finished the game, it encapsulated so many thoughts I had in my mind especially over the last year, wich often made me feel down. But ending E was so uplifting and with the people who helped me fight the credits as well as you here sharing your thoughts with us just really lifted my mood and made me worry less :)

Just like you tuber Skill Up said - Nier Automata IS A MASTERPIECE which MOST of US WONT PLAY. Because it is a BRILLIANT game but NOT for everyone. The structure is very weird/unique and exactly how i like it. So many unlockables, secret places, 9 endings-a fresh way how to get them, not like in other games. Fantastic music and gameplay - aka Bayonetta style. Greatest game from PLATINUM Games and Taro San (if the game is so interesting just imagine all his books from Nier franchise-bestsellers already). I started to play it on 2017, few hours and dropped it couldnt get into this type of a open world/city. Later on 2021 january finished one playtrough and i liked a lot but wanted more a longer story and i didnt want to do more playtroughs to get more of the game (but i didnt know at that point, that after 2 playtroughs endings and story continues not like 2nd playtrough was pretty much the same as first but from 9s perspective.) So on 2021 october i played the 2nd playtrough didnt stop play till i got all endings and a sweet ending - ending E. All the features and tricks what game offered to us so we get involved even more in the story, reminded me Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 endings when You sit for a moment and think woah that was so damn cool and interesting , (personally like all mgs parts). Nier - Automata for me a solid 9/10, wanted a little bit better visuals in some areas were very simple/bad textures and pale colors-maybe on pc it looked better i dont know but a superb game. And now lets finish Nier 1 on PS3. ^_-

It has been sometime now since the game was released and much talked about in gaming circles. And yet, looking back at it and looking at the gaming landscape now, there is no game that can live up to the heights that Nier: Automata achieved. A true work of art in all facets, but, ironically I think, an important lesson imparted in a seemingly trivial game. Never give up. The future is not an inevitable out come. Dreams of a better tomorrow are within your grasp.

For me, The message that exists in this ending breaks my Heart a Lot. We cannot live Alone. even for androids and machines. We do not need hate each other. The war is maingless. 9S loses himself by the pain of the loliness of lose your beloved forever. A2 that was cold because the loliness, by losing your friends in Pearl Harbor, turned more emphatic Living and knowing more Other beings. 2B was Very cold because the pain of the duty to kill so many times your beloved. But EVERY time, she gets more emotional. She last word was Just "nines". The human Race not exist anymore, but All this feelings and the pain of the loliness that make us as human. The meaning of life is Just Living. and supporting with love and Care each others.

I often think about the God who blessed us with this cryptic puzzle, and wonder if we'll ever get the chance to kill him God here in this case, are the developers of the game! Because they created it! So in ending E you actually get the chance to kill god…

I sacrificed my save data without hesitation I have no regrets. Nier I think changed me as a person.

Having just done this last night! This was a powerful game!!! That end credits battle was tough. I was stuck on the Square Enix marketing part, I was trying for quite some time to solo it, denying the help. It wasn't until I accepted the help was my burden eased and my feelings of frustration were replaced with joy. A life lesson perhaps? 🤔. I couldn't agree with you more about this game. I too have no friends that are interested in this game. But I wanted to see how other people felt about the ending. Thanks for making this video an sharing your thoughts. I think the most painful part of the "help" is if you mess up and get hit it says "(player name) Data lost" which hurts knowing you destroyed someones existence essentially

Tom You forgot to mention at 1:44 that WHEN THE FINAL CREDITS roll pods have this specific conversation. Because trough all playtroughs, secret endings & continues the player will see credits for 8 times + the 9th time at ending E. P.S. - There is even one moment with 9s at the beginning of the game, when player can simply leave the play area and abandon all missions - credits roll aka Far Cry 5 secret ending is similar. :)

It's 2021 and I'm still depressed after this finishing this game. I still want a god damn sequel and a game literally felt so bad for 9S. At least a redemption game for 2B, 9S and A2. Especially 9S redemption chapter. 9S witnessed his waifu's death infront of him, forced to fight clones of his waifu then almost lost memories of her. Then A2 told him the truth about 2B that she was just there to kill him when he goes too far, and he was just shocked at his current state of insanity he loses it. Don't like shipping game characters but this just proves the fact that 9S loves 2B. It's too fucking depressing.

The story was nothing outstanding for me. Maybe because ive seen lots of anime already. In terms of philosophical aspects, smt games still strucked me til this day. This game is pretty good though.

I felt guilt at each hit taken by other players I felt genuine guilt as all their hours spent playing this game was lost but at thee same time I felt a surge of determination to see this through. I play Nier automata and always got ending a and b

I just completed the first ending a and deleted the game because I wasn't having enough time to play all the endings till e.. so do u guys think what I did was okay? Well I just wanted to play ending e but to play that u have to play all the endings a b c d but there's no point in playing those because it's just the same gameplay from different perspectives of the other characters like when i finished playing ending a I was really hyped to play the ending e because of its dark story.. but in order to play that I had to complete ending b in which there is the same gameplay as ending a but in ending b u r playing as 9s so it was no fun.. and I deleted the game.. but still deep down.. I wanna play the ending e.. but I don't have much time so can anyone please explain what actually happens in ending e
