Did you know there were Cushites (and hunter gatherers) living all over East Africa (mainly in Kenya and Tanzania) BEFORE the Bantus came there? Most of them were assimilated into Bantu groups and also some Nilotic groups, but they are still there and many of them do look Cushitic. Many Kikuyus, kambas, Meru, Taita in Kenya look exactly like Oromos. Also some Kalenjin and Maasai look similar too. Even in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi there are people from there who look exactly like Cushitic people (Tutsis, Hima, etc). Tanzania also has some Cushitic groups too (Iraqw, Datooga, Rangi, Alagwa, some Chaga, etc). Please study deeper!!

@@heruy8274 race is an American social construct. Even in Europe we don't talk about races. Race is based on your skin colour and facial features. But we all have very similar skin colours and facial features. Like North Europeans compared to Eastern Europeans. They look the same in the eyes of Americans, but anybody who lives here knows the differences. Yet, would never call it racial. Ethnictiy is not the same as race. You cannot use race and ethnicity interchangeably. Race is a term that is supposed to describe an idea that is above ethnicity and lumps different ethnic groups together, mostly based on skin colour. This is why Black people in America are so offended, when Africans view themselves as tribes who are different from each other. In Europe nobody is confused about this. We don't have a Black community here.

That’s not really true because there were Cushites and hunter gatherers living mainly in Kenya and Tanzania BEFORE the Bantus came there. Most of them were assimilated into Bantu groups and also some Nilotic groups. Many Kikuyus, kambas, meru, taita in Kenya look exactly like Oromos. Also some Kalenjin and Maasai look similar too. Even in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi there are people from there who look exactly like Cushitic people (Tutsis, Hima, etc). Tanzania also has some Cushitic groups too (Iraqw, Datooga, Rangi, Alagwa, some Chaga, etc). Please study deeper!!

IN Ethiopia mixed race is not looked at as a higher class by any measure as a matter of fact it's the opposite. Some famous individuals have omitted their other halves.

I live in Uganda and that way of thinking is long passed. Pan africanism is on the rise and no one cares about light skin anymore. It’s considered old fashioned thinking and Africans are more proud of them selves than ever. We thank God
