Why do we sin and how can we fight it? In order to answer these questions, let's take a look at the very first sin ever committed. Let's look at Eve in the garden of Eden at the forbidden tree.
What we will find, in this first of four videos, is that the reason Eve sinned was because she stopped enjoying the garden. And the way she could have fought sin was not by saying, "No" to the temptation, but by saying, "Yes" to the goodness of the garden.
This is based on my new book "Rewire Your Heart." To learn more about our fight with sin and how to replace your desire for sin with desire for God, I invite you to order this new book here: bit.ly/bookrewire

That was just so beautifully explained! Thank you for sharing this way! You really did well. I would add, don’t forget the scriptural definition of Sin, when talking about it. I think a lot of us grow up thinking “Sin” means being bad, naughty, or going against the rules of society, but the Bible defines Sin as disobeying the Commands, or Instructions of God.

3:30 They went there because they thought they could find SOMETHING in THIS TREE that they couldn't find in the rest of the garden. They STOPPED enjoying God and His garden. And this caused them to DOUBT God's provision, caused them to try to provide for themselves, and SEEK the GOOD APART from God. And this is where SIN comes from: when we STOP enjoying the GRACE and GIFTS of God, our hearts will seek out ANYTHING ELSE to satisfy us. Thoughts: 1) Adam and Eve were probably going thought their ADOLESCENCE when they stopped enjoying all the good things God has provided them! :) 2) Between 3:59 and 4:00 How I WISHED to hear extrapolation on the nature of the broken Edenic Covenant BECAUSE before we learn what is BETTER, we have to get more MISERABLE and MOURN over MILTON'S PARADISE forever LOST!! Thank you, Brother, for speaking the WORD!!

Eve's sin is temptation and not obeying. I believe we are already forgiven and now we have to evolve together as a whole.

Eve is not the first sin that was committed. But she is the first human to sin. Sin originated by the angels in heaven

Why did Satan choose the serpent to tempt Eve? We do know that animals, birds and reptiles couldn't talk when God created them. But, we do know that the snake was the most cunning animal of all. But didn't Eve find it shocking that a snake spoke to her? Could you please explain. @spokengospel

This is a great and difficult question. All we can really say is that in the Garden of Eden, there were probably many things that don't exist in our fallen world today. One of which would be a tree of life. Another would be God walking on earth in the cool of the day. And, yes, another would be a spiritual being who looked like a snake with legs and could talk. This was not a possessed snake but was most likely a spiritual being in physical form - the being we know as the Accuser or Satan. I hope this is helpful!

@@SpokenGospel Hello. I have a question about eternity and punishment for those who don't accept Jesus as their personal saviour. In the Bible, we see Hell as a place of eternal torment and those who are in that place are meant to suffer judgement forever. My question is, after the great white throne judgement we see that God will cast Satan, his angels and the beast into the lake of fire where they will suffer eternally. But, will human souls offer suffer the same fate as the former or will they cease to exist once they are cast into the lake of fire? We do know that many people in the former decades may not even have had a chance to hear the gospel or the person of Jesus Christ. Will they also suffer eternal torment in the lake of fire. Will God allow souls to be tormented in the lake of fire forever or will he have mercy so that they cease to exist after the final judgement?

Eve is on record to be the first to lie. Eve sinned twice before eating the forbidden fruit. She did add to the word of God, and burden the LORD, and she saw and did covet. Genesis 3: [2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: [3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Proverbs 30: [5] Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. [6] Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Psalm 10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth. Psalm 119:36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness. Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's. (Eve did burden the LORD, saying: God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it) Jeremiah 23: [29] Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? [30] Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. [31] Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. [32] Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. [33] And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. [34] And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house. [35] Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken? [36] And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. [37] Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken? [38] But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD; [39] Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: [40] And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

Yes, eating an apple created by the Good Lord, I mean how much more wicked can any person in the universe be? Eating a forbidden apple.O the abomination.Terrible.Awful.Despiccable. The Good Lord was so mad about this abomination, and rightly so. How dare this wicked woman eat this apple of all apples? It's unbelievable. I cannot stop ranting on and on about this wicked abomination. Oh my god. What a sin. such a disgraceful SIN SIN SIN SINful sin

Hmm.. It does seem confusing why God would be angry, but the thing is it was disobedience against what God said and the fruit of the tree would give us knowledge of good and evil the knowledge wasn't the bad part it's that if we attain it we will chose to do bad rather than good and God knew that You're probably gonna ask next(or not,but I'll put it in just in case) If God knew we were gonna eat of the tree and it would result in evil why would He put it there? Well He put it there so we would have free will to choose wether or not we will disobey or obey Him Why didn't He destroy Satan? It was to test wether we truly love Him or not and He already defeated Satan on the cross! The cross where He died because of His great love for us!to cleanse us of our sin and save all who believe and make us the children of God not because He had to and not because anyone had power over Him but He chose and had the power to lay His life down and take it up again! Hope this helps and clarifies things God bless!
