To be clear, Ford is not intentionally reducing production. They have just had the hardest time keeping up with demand because of parts shortages and lowballing estimates for demand of things like the Ford Maverick, for example.

Want to go fast, buy a motorcycle. 12 grand can get you going just about as fast as you want. Want to look good, wash your face and comb your hair, that's pretty much free. Want to go off road, get a fourwheeler or dirt bike, you can get them used cheap. Want to pick up groceries, but a used car that runs good. Want to take a lot of money and instantly make it worth half of what it was, buy a new car or truck and sign your name to the title, (you don't even have to ever drive it). Now your vehicle is pre-owned and worth around half of what it was before you signed your name.

Got rid of my brand new car, got rid of that car payment, bought a 2003 daily driver cash and couldn't be happier. My wife is thinking of getting rid of her 2022 and doing the same.

As a British person, it baffles me how Americans aren't able to buy cars from manufacturers and have to buy from dealers for marked up prices. It's just greedy and stupid. Plus the countless stories I've heard about problem dealers in America is astounding!

I have a 2008 Clapped out GMC Sierra 4x4 5.3 with 350K miles. It runs great. I am completely rebuilding it. Mechanical, Interior and Exterior. It is paid off. Even if the drivetrain completely fails tomorrow, a new drivetrain is still much less than a brand new truck. Plus. It’s paid off.

You get what you pay for. I pulled a great car off Craigslist for $1,300. Ever month, I put a new part on it. By the time my car was rebuilt, my sister's 80k Cadillac was falling apart. She had repair bills, and interest payments.

Yeah there too much tech in them. Which cost more, and cost more fix and has higher chance of breaking. Hate to say it but older cars/trucks/suvs with manual transmission are probably better and last longer vs any new shit.
