This man figured out Hawkmoth identity by only seeing Gabriel twice, was able to Both fool Gabriel and Marinette, was able to actually defeat Ladybug. This mans back must hurt from carrying the show.

The fact that Felix has both Ladybug and Hawkmoth in the palm of his hand and could essentially determine which side wins, but choses not to do anything as long as sentibeings are not hurt, just shows how great he is as a morally grey character.

Felix’s character arc is so good! This makes me think his father was horrible hence the reason why he wants to free people from others control.

Felix deserves to be a major character, but then again some part of me fears that they'll screw him up. Like what if they somehow manage to make him smooth brain? He's not entirely a villain or a hero, these types of characters are always the best imo

Honestly, Felix should take over the role of the main protagonist 😅 Like I love Adrien and Marinette, but Felix has the most progression and like you said he brings the best scenes to the show and he drives the plot forward. I've already said it somewhere, but I don't think Felix's prime motivation behind leaving Marinette unsnapped was that she was important for Adrien, rather that he could relate to her when she said people at the ball were looking at her as if she were a monster - a feeling Felix was quite familiar with. I do think he's a greatly written character, though, not 'good' or 'bad', but both looking after his own interests and capable of being fair.

Now to think of it, Felix making a rant video towards Adrien's friends while impersonating him could be seen from Felix's perspective as him protecting Adrien's feelings from his friends. Felix probably misinterpreted Adrien's friends sending all these videos as a means to remind Adrien to feel sad on every anniversary that his mother disappeared and therefore, they emotionally manipulated him. Considering how in a leaked episode where it showed how Felix's father treated him, it shows that Felix moved past his father's death quite quickly and that his mischievous actions could instead be contributed to his father no longer being able to abuse him. Felix most likely projected his feelings about the subject matter onto Adrien. In that sense, Felix wouldn't want friends to send him the same kind of videos they sent Adrien, considering the way his father treated him. See where I'm going? I'm not justifying Felix's actions nor saying that Adrien's friends are actually emotionally manipulative. I'm just providing a possible explanation of Felix's actions from his perspective and how he viewed Adrien's friends.

I'm surprised that Félix/Argos places Marinette in a trash can to protect her from the Red Moon, knowing how much Adrien cares for her. Ladybug exploits this by making him think he accidentally snapped her out of existence and can't bring her back, showing him the price of his villainy when it seemingly has consequences and makes him realize the error of his ways. Ever since I saw "Emotion" I've been wondering if maybe Felix isn't completely irredeemable and that he can change for the better unlike Chloé Bourgeois, Lila Rossi, Bob Roth, and XY. But seeing the episode "Pretension" I'm starting to get convinced that Félix can be redeemed, especially with Kagami's influence.

I mean imagine discovering your circumstances of birth were so unique it was only shared with a handful of people, that your life could be taken by a snap of someone's fingers and that people like you were not only created and killed at will but also could be controlled without regulations and that you were seemingly the only one in the whole world willing to do something about it ? I love what I've seen of him so far. I might have preferred that he stayed as the male protagonist instead. I like cold and detached characters that change when they fall in love. At this point I'm more interested in the prior version of the show where Felix is the male protag.

I’m just glad the fans pushed Thomas’s button to bring Felix into the series. No there’s no Bridgette that’s a fan name from the PV. That was always Marinette from the start. Felix is an interesting character & can show more depth in anyone. I just don’t like that Thomas didn’t want to write him because he was a cliche character and he couldn’t see Marinette fall in love with a guy like him. Thomas even try to be petty after S4 finale tweeting if people still liked him. Like sir we still like him no matter what!!

If Félix/Argos truly does reform and change for the better then I hope someday Ladybug & Cat Noir could forgive him for his past actions and give him both a second chance and probation by letting him work with the French Miraculous superhero team (After all of the stolen Miraculous have been recovered and changed back to there normal forms) like how Tara Markov/Terra (Young Justice TV Series) was given probation by working with the Outsiders (Beast Boy's public team of young superheroes) after she reformed.

Felix is like Chloe for me. Chloe had exuded some qualities of character development which made me start to live her, as well as been an actual 3D character. Then Austruc decided to hate her (and fandom can get toxic I’ll agree to that) and Chloe just got scrapped ignoring all that written development and 3Dness. Felix was a dislikable character but he was a curiousity because you want to know why -- then he becomes argos and bruh, he became my fav, because of everything you explained.

When Felix is going to be in a episode you KNOW it's going to be good. It's been five seasons but Felix is the only character that I genuinely love and actually seems smart. Lila's lies are so outlandish and stupid that it's legit hard to take her seriously especially when the show WANTS you take her seriously. Chloe isn't even subtle and has lost entertainment value tbh. Keep her an antagonist and bad person? Fine but at least make it so that her involvement isn't so grating that I'm not rolling my eyes everytime she does something villanous. Felix is smart in his plans while also having a good motivtional drive to do them and he's manuplations are thought out where it doesn't make the other characters seem brain dead in comparison to when Lila lies or smooth brain gabe conctocting evil schemes. Like when Felix tricked Marinette it was such a massive blow and it launched a new plot point and it doesn't feel forced as other villians actions.

To think the staff didn't want to add him at first because from the PV he seemed cliche but now he's one of the most beloved and well-developed characters in the show!

FELIX has been my favorite character since is first appearance, I just love his arc and I knew that he was going to be amazing! Felix is just amazing in every aspect!

This is why I wish Felix would have stayed as the original Chat Noir. I think he just adds so much depth to the story and would have been a great addition alongside Marinette. I just think he would have had a more interesting role to play if he had stayed as the second main character.

The only thing I can’t really agree with is his consistent writing, because there is one point that makes his character confusing. Why did he decide to ruin Adrien’s life like that in his introductory episode when he supposedly care about him so much? My only theory for that is that Félix was trying to get someone akumatized to get to Hawk Moth and get on his good grace and get the rings himself. If he knew he was a sentimonster, then he must have an idea that Gabriel has the Peacock on account of Mayura’s existence, and since both the Butterfly and Peacock are working together, then it could only very well be Gabriel terrorizing the city.

Felix gives me Zuko energy. Technically isn’t the official main character, but might as well be. Moves the best part of the plot forward, gives very three dimensional tortured realism, serves as an important informative foil to those who ARE the official leads. Interacts with both the polarized goods and evils without technically living in either camp. He’s pretty much the guy whose written better than the heroes so the heroes don’t have to do the legwork. He comes into the situation extremely damaged but with most of his soul searching already completed, and his major swings between good and evil are the aspects of his portrayal to others, not to his ultimate end goals. Also side note, Jesus have you seen the spoiler backstory with him and kagami? With the confirmation of the Adrien/Felix sentimonster theory?? So damn good

He started out as a horrible character but got better as time went on. I’ve been enjoying his character in the last couple of episodes. He’s definitely more of an anti-hero though.

I cannot believe i did not see this. Felix is my favourite character and you released a video on him on my 18th birthday and though i saw the video forgot to thank you for both your insight on the character and for releasing it on my birthday. He was there for such less duration when it comes to the episodes but when it comes to the over arcing story is very important.

🚨 BIG TEXT ALERT 🚨 I honestly think felix is one of the greatest "comebacks" of this show. In the first episode, I really hated him because there was just no reason- or, at least, the way they showed him made it look like he had no reason- to do what he has done in this episode. And I really dislike the ep for this reason (especially since they NEVER brought this up again, and never explained his reasons. But independently of the reasons, I think the way they show him this episode is just bad). BUT after Gabriel Agreste they quickly managed to really make him feel like a true antagonist and anti-hero who really HAS motives to do what he does. It was quite impressive to me, because he's basically the ONLY character that I disliked in the introduction and started liking (at the point of him becoming my FAVORITE character) in the other episodes. Althought, I don't think he's that perfect. Althought he is WAY MORE tridimensional than the other characters, I think he can be inconsistent some times. Let me explain better: in the start, he was shown to be REALLY selfish, while still being able to love. But then, in emotion, he basically said that EVERYTHING he did was because of the other sentimonsters- which I think is not totally consistent. OBVIOUSLY he can love his equals, and i'm not saying this is the inconsistent part- but the way they simply act like there's not even a HINT of selfishness in his actions, that he was doing all that ONLY because of the other sentis, just feels forced to me. And maybe he just worded that badly (or was hiding his selfishness inside)- but right in the next episode he just gives everything to protect kagami (and yes, I know she is a sentimonster, but I think this insta "i'll do everything that who I like wants, even putting myself in risk" isn't something that really reflects the idea of someone both selfish and caring, It just looks like they choose one of those traits and go with them depending on the scene- which I don't really think it's natural) This dude TRIED TO FUCK UP ADRIEN'S LIFE, who he says is REALLY dear to him- so why now would he do simply EVERYTHING to them? Withought even thinking about himself? Also, it isn't much consistent to make the guy who was supposed to be the smartest kid in London just give all the miraculous he could have had to gabe if he already knew about the absolute power and could at least try to use some of them to get the peacock lol, big smooth brain moment (this could be easily corrected if they showed a scene of him only knowing about the wish AFTER duusu told him, but the boy just doesn't get enough screen time). I also could talk about how his plan in emotion is just vague and he did'nt even think what would be the consequences in the world for what he did, but I like the scene and the episode so I'm giving this one a pass lol But, SUMMARIZING, my point is: it IS possible to be both selfish and caring at the same time, but I think miraculous doesn't really know how to truly write this. Also, it is quite a shame to me how FAST he is getting his redemption arc. I'm not opposed to the idea of he being redeemed of some stuff, but it is just TOO EARLY for me. He was basically the most interesting villain, and could work perfectly as an anti-hero for most part of the series- but after pretension it really looks for me like they WANT to make him "good" and mainly good. Well, I hope I'm wrong about this, but by watching miraculous for so long unfortunately I don't think I am lol Again, all those problems are WAY SMALLER than the problems all the other characters have, but I still think that they are problems (I have other problems that I didn't mention but this text is already too big). He still is and probably still will be my favorite character, but with some changes and specially MORE SCREEN TIME he could go from "good" to "amazing"- but unfortunately I don't think this will happen, since the pacing of his arc is being THIS fast (and also, even if he has more screen time, there's a big change they will just ruin his character)

So with Scarabella exposed I would recommend a video idea on who will be Marinette's new backup or may not at all. We know it could happen again and she may need to trust someone to become ladybug. I personally think Zoe would be the next best choice albeit after they beat monarch of course as alliance would just sabotage the plan again.

I mean, considering he resembles the proto-Adrien and has his fan-favourite name of Felix, I would say it's possible the crew really wanted to re-use the idea of the original Chat Noire, and decided to make Felix a character the really like. They kept giving him all the juicier informative scenes and many dramatic ones as well :)) and as you said, it's a short arc, but interesting because it's clear the crew knew what they wanted to do with him and they enjoyed writing/drawing him too. I might be wrong, but it just seems plausible with how this show is ;)

I agree with you, for character to be a good character he need: to be interesting to watch, to have falsh back (past) and to have character traids (to not be mary su) and he have all that. He was so mysterious and i wanted to know more about him, the fact that we see him only 2-3 times a season is unbelievable because in that 30 min screen time he has it makes the episode so interesting. For ex when Gabriel's sentimonster was akimatize in s4 epizode. I was some intrested in what Felix was doing then Marinette trying to delete the video chloe made even tho that was in treating plot for that specific 1 episode. So yeah i pretty much agree that Felix is awesome. The only time i didn't like his action is in s4 finale, because he could use the bunny miraculous but he didn't, maybe he know that time travel is dangerous? I am not sure, but the episode it self was very interesting, of course because Felix was in it. So yeah one of my fav character is Felix 😁

I think you may be mistaking his dynamic over consistent Character writing, because as of this date, we still have no idea why Felix tried to sabotage Adrien's social circle upon his entry into the series. This is fine, but let's be real for what it is; Felix's character is more or less written pretty erratically so that it makes sense when the plot moves forward because of him, it's specifically because hes a little all over the place. Even his sudden attraction to kagami is a little sudden because the 1st time they met in the series, they just glared at each other. However, it's a testament to the glacial pacing that the audience is willing to overlook the inconsistencies for the simple fact that Felix forces the status quo to change because he is such a vague dark horse character whose main characteristic is being a quick thinking opportunist

If Ladybug knew Cat Noir’s secret identity she wouldn’t have lost all the miraculouses so in a way it’s Master Fu’s and Bunnix’s fault and Master Su Han’s Fault but mostly Felix’s fault and Gabrielle Agreste’s fault but Ladybug is the one being blamed for a mistaken identity which wouldn’t have happened if she knew Cat Noir’s secret identity but unfortunately she remembers Cat Blanc but not who Cat Noir’s secret identity was but she has PTSD and is trying to avoid that from happening because she cares for him just like Marinette aka Ladybug cares for Adrien. Just revealing their secret identities would’ve avoided Felix getting the Dog miraculous.
