Okay, I'm only 50 seconds into the video but a BLD kit sounds like a phenomenal idea. With zero additional information beyond "NZXT BLD kit" it sounds like the best of both worlds of getting a full, warrantied system from one integrator and still getting the building experience. Edit: At the end of the video, this is an even better idea. The manual looks done to a point where it looks like literally anyone could do it. The labels look really helpful on the boxes. Cable management guide is way more than I would've expected. Tool kit is included. NZXT nailed this.

I agree 100%. Last Christmas, my brother, father and I went in on a PC for my nephew who is 15 and had swapped out a few components, but never built a PC before. I picked everything out and we packed them up separately so by the end of the day he had a PC that just needed assembled. I had him come over one day not long after that and we built it together. I had him do most of the work and explained what each component did, how they interacted with the other components and so on. The only part I did mostly by myself was the cable management because it was getting late and we weren't going to have time to install windows unless I knocked out the cables real quick. I did make sure to explain the benefits of clean cable management and some theories about how to route them. He had a blast as did I. He learned a lot that day and has since helped one of his friends build their first PC as well and he only called me 3 times for minor questions and it booted on the first attempt. I was so proud.

Not only this is a fantastic idea, but it also solve the problems which occur while shipping a prebuilt PC. Such as GPU PCB cracking, PCI-e slot break during shipping and each and every part come within its respcetive packaging which makes shipping safer and customer have the satisfaction that they open a brand new hardware while taking everything out of box. Just think how much NZXT will save by not replacing faulted hardware like mobo and GPU especially by safe shipping. Really good idea and I think more companies should adopt this :)

This is genius on NZXT's part. I haven't been too favorable about them lately but this moves the needle. That instruction manual is a work of art, like literally and figuratively. I think that a novice using this kit to build their first computer will actually be able to learn a very useful skill and really help them get over that initial knowledge hump of not knowing where to even start when building a computer for themselves. Kudos to NZXT for this. I could build a computer with both my eyes tied behind my back at this point, but I would love to sit down with one of these kits and go through the manual step-by-step because it looks like it would be a lot of fun.

I've been building computers since I was 10... I'm almost 41 now. I still watch Jay build computers because a) he's entertaining b) you *can* teach an old dog new tricks, especially when it comes to watercooling which I haven't done alot of At the same time I feel Jay's pain of watching someone else build a computer in the heart of my soul

Jay's restlessness when he can only watch someone else build a computer reminds me of the videos when his oldest daughter builds her new PC (probably more so the older ones where she's younger). I'm thinking mostly about the parts in those videos when Jay is talking and she has to just sit still and wait for him to be done. They really have the exact same energy.. 😅🤣👨‍👧

This is actually a good idea. This could help prompt causal users to learn about their systems in a different manner. May even help in initial diagnostics by users of their system and a deeper understanding of where components are located, what they look like, and what they do/how they operate on a physical level.

I will admit, I am thoroughly impressed. My level of respect for NZXT has greatly improved after this. Not saying it was in need of improvement, I've never owned any of their products so I had a neutral opinion of them. But after seeing easily the best, highest quality, and most thought out and detailed manual I've ever seen. Not to mention the idea alone, though I personally would never go this route as I am an experienced builder, I think is awesome. Then given the fact it comes with a tool kit and a warranty on every item in the box, this is a top notch product. I think it's an awesome idea and NZXT hit this one out of the ball park.

Homerun is a bit overstating it, but if it catches on fire when the consumer builds it, they aren't liable anymore. That tome they included should serve well, all in all, a step up from the prebuilts they were crapping out.

@@x8jason8x Clearly don't know what you're talking about. 2 year full warranty. It may run warm but nowhere near throttling and the elitists like GN will nickpick literally every single thing like this isn't for new builders that could give a shit less about it not being the coldest case out there as it will likely never be close to full load. It's pretty as good as it gets for a first timer.

I've built somewhere between 60-70 computers in my lifetime, and I recently bought a BLD kit because the entire cost of it was about what it currently costs to acquire just GPU alone. I was astonished at the quality of the provided instruction manual, both in terms of physical attributes (paper weight, glossy photos, etc) and the level of detail in the instructions. I actually referred to it a couple of times just out of curiosity. Really cool that they are doing this now
