Em's music hasn't really resonated with me since Encore, sometimes you just grow apart from an artist's music. But I will say that it's commendable that Em never fell off commercially. His albums still debut at number 1, with 1st week sales greater than 98% of rappers, and he never fails to reach platinum status. It's interesting that he doesn't have same cultural impact in hip-hop as he once did despite still being so commercially viable. It might be a sign of how he's become more a pop star over time, but yet he hasn't dumbed anything down. He showcases his technical rapping ability nowadays more than ever.

I from Europe and grow up listening to 2pac, eminem, dmx. He is the only “white” rapper i still listen occasionally. He has had biggest impact by far on the genre. If he would do concert in my country, it would be sold out in minutes. I can’t say same to JayZ, i think most of people can’t even name 3 songs by him. He is known for sure but not for his music.
