I just got this Milgauss from an AD on Saturday. I had been tryin for seven months, and finally got the call. Amazing watch! If it had AR coating on both sides, it would be almost perfect for me.

My dream watch. Tryed the black (was sold to another gent), perfect balance, perfect presence and taper on the bracelet. It left a big impression on me.

I love it! I have z-blue and adore it. Definitely one of the least “Rolex” watches made and in my top 5 from them. I hope you wear it in good health and brings you happiness

As for discontinuing, don’t hold your breath, one thing had to go: the Air King, OP, Milgauss or explorer. Rolex chose the latter

@@Cull_Obsidian The Explorer was not discontinued per se, the just made it 36mm instead of 39mm.

@@phototristan yes, but there was such congestion in that space. Same movement, same case size. Only difference between an Air King and Milgauss is the dial pretty much. Ask me a month ago and my money would have been on the Milgauss to go. Guess we know now!

@@asdf4898 what year is it from? Could have the parachrom hairspring which would offer most of the protection. I know the Milgauss was tested to 0.5 Tesla and was fine, if you want something really robust (and easy to get at the AD) look at any Tudor with a silicon hairspring. Alternatively pretty much all current Omegas have an anti-magnetism to 1.5T

I don’t give two shits about the value of the Milgauss. It was my first luxury watch (this very model) snd it’s scratched to hell. I love it snd it’s definitely a nerd watch.

Yeah, me neither. I just got it and it will stay in my collection likely forever. The resale/grey market value is irrelevant to me.

The blue Milgauss is the way to go for sure. The Airkingis a bit of a strange watch, just not as nice in my opinion, and too many fives :)

lovely watch! I am currently in the process of buying one (2021) version unworn for £8200. i knowwww its couple of grand over the RRP but like this guy said if it gets discontinued at any time it will slowly rise year and year! I love the fact that a lot of people don't find it as beautiful as I or we do because this makes it more unique! as soon as I get this watch I will do a UK video version of "showing it off" lets say :D again amazing watch! and great video :D

Having a feeling that we will get the same one after this model is discontinued, but with a more updated movement and some minor changes overall in the dial/case/clasp (Like the 2019 gmt batman compared to the 2013 batman , etc) I would hold on for the next version of milgauss instead because it will be of better spec, so more worth the price if you don't care of reselling it soon. Also why buy over rpp? I think you can buy the milgauss from a Rolex ad without a large wait list , if any. It's not as hot as a sub/gmt/daytona.

You’re mental, you can get them for RRP in a dealership, might have to wait a few weeks but you’ll get it, not like subs or GMTs that have a “waiting list”

Ahhh, 904L is not a better steel than 316L, it's just different! 904L is more resistant to corrosion but has a higher nickel content so more likely to cause allergy hence why outside of a real diver watch (outside a wet suit) it is not needed and is in fact not desired in close skin contact really. And before anyone shouts "hater" I have a Milgauss and and a DJ but the 904L is purely marketing now and the amount in a Milgauss costs about $10 so not a cost issue for other brands, in fact modern Rolex fakes use 904L also.

Did you mention whether or not you bought this piece from an AD? I paid retail $8300 from a dealer for a black dial MIlgaus. The green sapphire really stands out on that black dial, more so than the teal dial. I wanted the model you have before I got my watch but now actually prefer the one I have...

It's a beautiful piece and looks stunning but in terms of being a watch for engineers and scientists , it doesn't really fit in the market there are other watches that can handle more higher guass , I feel it won't be long til this be discontinued or revamped

If they replace the second hand with a conventional straight one (not that ridiculous lightning bold) and offer them standard with a leather strap I may consider one (if I win the lottery). The blue dial is gorgeous and the green accents very nice.

Understandable if you need it. I will say setting the time on a no-date watch is a lot more convenient.

Old technology and the dial can look really washed out in certain light,or even black,once the PCL’s get scratched up,looks pretty crap,add the no date and that’s why I’ve sold mine.
