I tell myself that tmkoc ended in 2016-17 and just re-watch the older episodes. This has actually saved me from the horrors of current episodes and has kept me away from seeing Asit Modi's face every other day 😂😂😂

In old episodes every character has a style.....attitude so that every character can be related by any of the audience. 1. The look of the society is no longer middle class 2. The video quality with the high quality cameras ,blur effects makes us to feel that we are in a VFX movie or a high class bunglow......old video quality gave a vibe that resembles every household,street,moholla of the pure Indian environment 3. Club house has actually became like a club and what is that celebrating every function in the club house with expensive Manish Malhotra style costumes like a real drama The karva chauth anthyakshari,kavi samhelan,tapu Sena's project roshni,dance competition,kaun banega murga etc etc were gems 4. Makeup of the artists is like millionaires or billionaires 5. The music is given to intentionally create a mood in viewers mind.....which was not same in old episodes. In old episodes the music was perfectly suitable. 6. In old episodes every character had some imperfections like Daya was not so mature but kind Bhide was concerned about savings Sodhi was always enthusiastic Mehta Anjali diet fight etc etc But now all these characters got maturity and no one behaves as before which is the core of the show Though old nature of characters is repeated but it just seems like acting and everyone starts giving Gyan wherever u want 7. Dragging of the story to an extent like popatlals wedding....this elasticity makes viewers feel the show like any other saas-bahu show where dhumtanananana never ends My mom always say that if popatlal gets married then he can have his individual new content as a newly married couple 8. Aging 😏😏tapu sena is still in college since 6 years.....back then there were special episodes in the month of May for results like khote classes which is completely removed from utube and mk Gandhi college etc etc why don't they age And for how many years daya would stay in her mayka....atleast change the reason These were very few points out of infinity. But one thing the team is doing a favour is telecasting the old episodes all the day Otherwise the show might have got 1000% more hate Why don't they stop making new episodes and telecast old ones from ep1 @8:30pm They have lot many "problems" but don't know when their "nazariya" gets changed if you're reading this Thank you so much coming down till here.😊😊

TMKOC did not died, it was murdered. Its soul was burried with the old society. Now what is left is a zombie sitcom squeezing money from the legacy of its past entertaining a generation who could not even comprehend what a masterpiece it was.

I have been watching this show since the time when I didn't know these characters were deliberately shot.. I used to assume that it was actually happening somewhere and we are able to watch them.. I would even believe that in the same way others can see me.. So it is actually a very sweet and innocent memory that i would cherish for life❤

Jethalal visiting the dentist Dr. kutkutiya- still one of the finest episodes of any sitcoms I have watched so far. That episode has everything a friend gets ready to take out his teeth just to give comfort to his friend, who’s quite afraid of dentist. Daya’s care for bapuji ( chai ka time ho gya hain bapuji ka , kam shakkr kadak chai) Daya’s care for tapu( telling anjali to take care of his lunch when he comes back from school), jethalal getting annoyed by daya’s behaviour and that boy. I still remember that dialogue by heart( oye raju oye babu kya naam hain iska.. oyee blue sadi😂😂) , that gunda mavali hurts Daya by pushing her, once in a blue moon jethalal has slapped someone by saying meri daya ko dhakka mara( how on one hand he is constantly getting annoyed by Daya and on the other hand he gets furious when someone hurts her and maar pit pe utar jata hain), jethalal being slapped by that gunda( just to realise in the end that his pain in teeth has gone and asking for his number),by far one of best episodes of tmkoc. I’m not kind of person who goes gaga over any celebrity and i have never ever desired to meet any celeb but I surely wish I really want to meet Dilip Joshi whenever destiny plays its role. No haters detected for Jethalal😁

Earlier episodes were good because that was based on the book "Tarak Mehta na Duniya ne Undha Chasma" in gujarati written by Tarak Mehta himself...The legendary writer...but with the help of this show I think his name will last forever.😍🥰

In 2008 I was born on 10th March My Maternal Uncle Used To Watch That Serial And When I Become 4 years old I started to enjoy that serial and those episodes are still nostalgic whenever I watch those episodes I fell like sone sort of apnapan you know whenever I wake up and my uncle turns on the tv and we both watch tmkoc at 8:00 am.. I still remember those days

I want to add to your knowledge that the show itself is based on the characters actually written by the Gujarati author taarak mehta whose columns ran in the magazine chitralekha for almost 35 years chornicling the life of a groupe of people living in a co-op chawl. So, the sheer success of TMKOC serial should also be attributed to the original author who created this world on which the television was created and from being a local Gujarati literary event, it transpired to become a pan-india joyride.

I remember the show used to run the whole day during afternoon, and during my vacations from school in summer, the show used to run one particular story line every day. It used to be a series of episodes throughout the day, like the infamous bhootni, sheru khushi storylines and so on. Those are core childhood memories. And today in my twenties, far away from home, I still watch them every single day single mealtime, just to relive a tiny bit of those moments. its peaceful. To be honest, the creators literally took the quote. "the show must go on.." to whole another level. Seeing this masterpiece fail hurts.. (edit: forgot to mention the background music for every situation and every character, its like a reference to emotions, the moment bhide's theme music plays you know that he is about to doing something related to his daily activities, and so goes for rest of the characters. The show was made to actually associate every single scene with a different emotion. thats why its goated.)

i do remember my school days when the repeat telecast of new episode would air at 2:30 in afternoon, and we would just run from our school to our home after the school bell rang.

You perfectly summed up my problems with the show in this video (except the controversies, initially I didn't dig into the details but now that I think about it, the controversies are concerning...). I honestly enjoyed TMKOC's older episodes (and I'm from the current generation). But as the show went on I started to get more and more frustrated and bored by the show to the point that now I keep nitpicking problems in every one of the "latter half" episodes whenever I happen to watch them (sometimes I feel like discussing my thoughts about certain things in the show) Jethalal is the only character I still enjoy (and he's my favorite character in the whole show due to his fun and somewhat relatable personality and the entertaining acting by Dilip Joshi). (Honestly Jethalal aur Babita ji ke bich koi setting ho jaigi to mujhe dekhne mein Maja ayega 😜) The show simply needs to say goodbye and accept that we need a good ending.

My dad would watch tmkoc on his phone everyday at night he would never miss any single episode. But recently me & my dad have stopped wathcing the new eps bc its too boring and they just khich te hi ja rahe he 😢 episodes ko means wo vaccine wala episode kitna lamba kicha tha. i still watch old epidoes everyday. tmkoc shouldve had its closure after 10 years complition but the prob is i cant imagine a single day without tmkoc ❤❤
