Reid, I dont know If u gonna read that but I'm Turk from Turkey and I gotta say u guys have so cool laws and an amendment. We didnt fight for our rights now we cant even get ammo for our registered pistols and we cant get even semi auto "grooved" rifles and whole prices for firearms set by goverment. U are a honorable dude, keep the awsome culture of yours and fight against SJW & libtards and fight for ur rights.

In some parts of our country thats slowly starting to change, we have people who think like your government and want to take what we legally purchased, with a state law that can over night turn one into a criminal. Freedom is not free nor permanent unless one is willing to fight for it. We just had a midterm election in which my state turned Blue (dumbocrat libtard jackass blue) now our fight has truly begun, these laws come in various forms, one is "red flag laws" last week the cops in an other state killed a man because they came to take his guns and he did nothing wrong other than get into an argument with his sister and his sister called the cops to get even. his own sister even said he was harmless, now she has to live with the fact that she got her brother killed over a stupid unconstitutional law that many states are passing. America is rapidly moving towards your side of the fence and people here need to wake the fuck up.

I had an M-16 A1 when I was in the USMC. At 500 yds, I could hit bulls until you got tired of watching. Back then, the USMC rifle teams still used the M-14. Those boys would go back to the 800 yd line to fire at a round "Able" target. The target we would use at the 200.

In the eyes of the globalists civilians are not even human. We are only seen as an expendable resource only meant to be exploited and they want to keep it that way. They do that by trying to regulate every single possible variable for us to not be 100% reliant on the system out of existence. This goes beyond firearms it is in other things such as most of the US it is illegal to collect rainwater and you are fined if you dig a big hole on your property and turn it into a small lake. The system goes out of it's way to try and domesticate us because in their eyes we are only cattle and not even human beings. The system needs us to survive however we do not need it to survive.

Another great thing about the AR platform is the fact that you can have quite a few uppers chambered in different calibers and quickly swap em out with the press of two pins. I mean 7.62x39, .300AAC, 6.5 Grendel, .223, 5.56 just to name a few, and even pistol calibers with a mag well adapter.

I'm using a .458 SOCOM for home defense now with the 450gr hollow point, loaded down to 900 fps with a suppressor. I've also taken LARGE hogs and all of them were one shot stops. Chuck Finley What you suggest is more true for 5.45x39 which is not made very much here and why I haven’t gone for the AK74m. Winchester, Remington, PMC and other domestic vendors make M43 type ammo here. With the millions of SKS’s and AKM’s here, that round isn’t going anywhere fast. If it does, be assured they will ban 5.56 too like Obama tried with the 62 gr. green tips. Good idea to stock up and better to have a press and some dyes.

@xDXPxJOEx456x1
@xDXPxJOEx456x1 5 жыл бұрын
The sks was the second gun I have ever bought, it is a 1952 soviet sks and I its a great shooter and very reliable and I love taking it to the range. However I am going to tell you as someone who has owned and shot an sks for years, I do not recommend it as a fighting gun at ALL. It is heavy and magazines for it generally are terrible even the standard 10 round box mag it comes with sucks because the follower is not anti tilt and non anti tilt IMO are a nogo. You realistically don't have a way to mount optics on it and stripper clips are much inferior option to just simply changing mags. There was a reason why the sks had such a short service life because the ak in general is a far superior option in every single way possible. The only real advantage the sks has over the ak is the bolt open which in reality is not that much of an advantage. I say that because it is nice to have bolt hold open but it really isn't necessary because you get yourself a well made gun you hear that click 99.9% that means its time to reload and out of aks the only issues I ever had with them period were failures to feed out of crappy magazines. Aks don't have bolt hold opens but neither does the g3 and many other Europeans guns. That was done on purpose to not get crap in the chamber when you run empty. I will say this though the sks is a great hunting rifle, I have taken a deer with it before and it is accurate for the caliber it fires. Fighting rifle though there are much better options out there my friend. @@jessesimmons9238

Quality wise I would say arsenal Krebs Saiga Molot Rifle dynamics Norinco and Valmets not particularly in that order are the best. I never tried out any of the new WBP fox rifles but they do look excellent. My first ak was the Wasr 10 and it is a good rifle. It will run to the end of time but I'm not gonna lie its a 4moa gun and its picky with mags. Most higher end aks have the same reliability and are a 2moa gun. I prefer stamped aks over milled because I do not think the extra durability is worth the extra weight offered by the milled. I think if you are gonna have only one ak get one in 7.62x39 because of the availability of guns in that caliber as well as magazines and ammunition. 5.45 and 5.56 are pretty much the same round in a practical sense, I do like 5.45 but I would recommend 5.56 over it because it is much more available. The aks I own are a arsenal slr 107 and a Rifle dynamics ak74m made from a Russian parts kit. I want to get a WBP fox gun when it comes back in stock. all in all though you generally wont have any problems with aks unless its out of spec crap like a ras47 or anything made by I.0. @@Joe_Friday

This appears to be an update to your "Reid's AR 15 Selection & Setup" (July 2015). In that video you were running an A-2 solid stock, A2 hand guards, 20 inch barrel with full length gas system. Have you reconsidered your prior suggestion. I am about to purchase my first AR. Thank you

I suppose I was one of the last hold outs with the M4. I always felt more confident with the AK, but after being dragged kicking and screaming to the M4 a few years back I finally hopped on board...and I like it.

I love my Colt A2 civilian. It even shoots steel cartridge Wolf ammo, flawlessly. My RRA M4gery shoots brass ammo flawlessly and accurately. Forget the steel casing stuff, though.

Reid, check out 8m3 for AKs. Solves the problem of overpenetration in 7.62x39mm. Penetrates past the FBI recommended 12" but not much further and fragments reliably.

In the process of consulting on a greaseless gun project, I fired M4s over 6000 rounds dry, and half the mags were fired with a suppressor. The bolt carrier group was coated with a proprietary coating. Minor cleaning of the bolt carrier group was done every 1200 rounds. ARs need a little break-in also. Not a lot, but some. It depends a lot on the finish left by the machine tools on certain surfaces.

Why not use DLC (diamond like carbon) coating? I would think it would be the ultimate for ARs and AKs... has really no one experimented with it? It’s all over the nascar circles as well as the knife circles...

That is what I got my wife. She loves it. A semi-auto bcg, everything is nice and light. The finish of the barrel (And that of Ruger) is better than some more expensive AR's. You cannot beat them.

I too have one and absolutely love it. It may not be a Daniel Defense as far as the fit and finish is concerned but you can certainly tell that its got quality where it counts just after operating it once. Absolutely a quality rifle for the cost.

Me too. Took it to the range today and shot it standing for the first time. Man, this rifle was can pump out rounds very fast, even stock. Even for a rookie like me, it handles so well. Barely any recoil and super accurate with the iron sights.

Mr Henrichs, do you like 16” or 14.5” with carbine gas? For white light attachment, I like the IWC TMC mount on the stock plastic handguards. Keeps the weight and overall profile of the rifle down. As to having to shoot a hostile more than once to stop the threat, when I was in Iraq in 2007, I hit an AQI with a 4-6rd burst from my 240 and he still had about 30 seconds of fight left in him. Adrenaline’s a hell of a drug.
