GORILLA LADDER VS. LITTLE GIANT: Why I bought the MPX22 Gorilla Ladder instead of the Little Giant. There are a couple of differences between the Gorilla ladder and the Little Giant and n this video I talk about the basic features, share how I have used the Gorilla MPX22 over the years, and compare the two ladders.
Bottom line, the Gorilla does pretty much everything I have needed it to do and I have absolutely no regrets. It has met and or exceeded all my expectations for all my DIY projects around the house and up on the future homestead.

Your video helped me decide to get this ladder. So far, I love it as it replaces a 28” fiberglass extension ladder that weighed almost 100 lbs. coolest part is my new gorilla (23 ft 375 rating) comes with wheels on it. Not sure I’ll ever use the wheels but they’re there if I need them.

I've been using the little giant revolution for 4 years, and just bought the king combo 6 tread step ladder, never had any trouble with it, I've seen loads of videos of people trying to use them, and make them look so awkward, I find it easy to put up, and rock steady at full height or in step form.

I have the older Gorilla AL-13 and AL-22 that combined cost less that 1 Little Giant. They are both about 15 years old now. I mainly use the AL-22 as most of the things I need to work with around the house are high up in the air. Besides, there are numerous comments and owner photos of Little Giant failures, like broken welds, etc. The Gorillas I have are just like new after 15+ years of use. The only maintenance I have done on them is lubricate the hinge components once a year. I've used various lubricants, but basically a light oil before I put them up for the winter. These old Gorilla's are wonderful, very strong and sturdy. I am afraid of heights but have no fear of falling from these ladders. I only use them in the A-frame position, not the fully extended 22' extension ladder position. I have a 24' and a 32' extension ladder for really high places. I get a little wobbly in the knees on those. Yesterday I ordered the MPXW-26 which was on sale for $289 @ Home Depot. I have 2 light fixtures that are next to impossible to reach with the AL-22, so this will solve that problem.

So I have a Little Giant M22 Xtreme which is by far the best ladder ever made. I used to work at Home Depot who primarily sells Gorilla ladders. Key differences: -Gorilla uses plastic ribbed feet which are prone to slipping. Little giant uses all silicone rubber feet. -Rungs are secured with pop rivets vs welds on the little giant making them prone to loosening over time because they will. Little giant uses ratcheting leg levelers for uneven ground. Plus the air deck work station is included as well as their fuel tank paint tray and trestle brackets. Now some little giants are still made in the USA at the Utah plant. Some did go to China for cost purposes but all are tested, engineered, and shipped from the warehouse in Utah. Now the price is the biggest point. The M22 sells for $565 but it is absolutely worth the price tag. Plus LIFETIME WARRANTY.

Great video!! I was debating between the two and the new leveler feature sold me in the little giant. When your on uneven ground you just step on the tab on the one side and it with ratchet into a spot to make the ladder level. All 4 corners have it. It will extend up to 7" to accommodate for sloping terrain. Makes it nice when your using it as an extension ladder and for example cleaning gutters. Also it's designed and assembled in the USA vs all China built. Great ladder though. I might pick up a smaller gorilla if I ever catch a sell. I bought the 22' little giant.

Funny how these things pop up when you are searching for stuff on Google. But just the same, great video. Though I already pulled the trigger on the little giant 26ft version at Lowes w/discount cost me just over $300 w/o tax. I already have a 17ft little giant and have some accessories for it (like the window/standoff bar, platform and an adjustable leg for uneven ground. The one I just bought has built-in adjustable lets. I'm trying to scale down the ladders I have. a 12ft step ladder, 8ft and 4ft, and a 24ft fiberglass Werner extension ladder tops it off so my new ladder will replace all but the 4ft and 8ft step ladder. Debating on keeping the 17ft ladder. But glad I ran across this. Had any of the werners or gorillas been on sale, I'd gone that route. You got a good deal.

Have read some reviews of the LG leg extenders failing. I have a heavy duty extender I bought 40 years ago from Sears for my extension ladders and it works on my gorilla ladders as well. It's a beast, but it works great. The similar extenders I see available now are $100-$200.

Great video, but i work as a gutter installer and we face many challenge on the job, gorilla is cheaper and is a good thing but little giant is expensive, but working on uneven surfaces is hard, gorila lose there, little giant won, a cuple more dollars and a little gigant can make you day easy, confortable and i dont mind paying more when your day can go as easy gorilla ia cheap, but like i said uneven surfaces are always there

FYI Folks: I just looked it up; Little Giant is MADE IN AMERICA--- it appears Gorilla is out of Australia - still an ally but it's not made in America and as the man said: Little Giant has 2 other pluses going for it.

@@CreatingASimplerLifeOffGrid I agree, some (not all) of the non-Gorilla accessories are pretty universal.

It`s a good ladder but its actually 18 not a true 22. It tells you on the side of the ladder.

Yeah... It seems all the manufacturers of those multi position ladders name the ladders based on what is reachable instead of the actual ladder length.
