I loved playing dolls with my daughters and decided to build them a dollhouse and that led me to MyFroggyStuff and I found this doll world and so many like minded, creative folks. I love it here. The quarantine and Froggy Stuff reactivated it for me too, lol! I collected dolls for a while (they were mainly boxed for decor), but now I want to unbox them all and make rooms and doll stories. I also went through a period of buying all the ones I missed when I wasn't collecting. Great video!!

I LOVE your videos!! :) I just recently as a 22 yr old got into collecting Barbies and Kens, and I absolutely love it! 🥺🥺 I totally understand when you say there's this fear of being embarrassed in front of others - especially when we were younger... and now I totally embrace it! I show my friends my dolls and like to dress them up for outings (😂) - it's so cute and they all have their own names and everything. I wish there were more people like you who opened up about their love for dolls as it's really awesome to see that you get to enjoy your passion with your channel and everything!!! Hope you keep collecting as it's great fun :) also with all the outfits and furnitures - Barbie is such a vibe and sometimes, I also dress kind of like Ken would not gonna lie 😂 I love it! I started collecting dolls again when Rainbow High came out. I was drawn to them and kept watching reviews. One turned into like 150 now over 2 years. At first I felt silly for a while. As time went on I stopped caring and have become very vocal about my passion for dolls. I also got into Barbie and American Girl's. My apartment is my 7 year old nieces paradise lol

I loved dolls as a kid. I would say my two favorites were a second hand Disco Midge from 1989 (I never knew that is what she was called. ROFLS) and the Jasmine doll that was released with the Aladdin movie. I would say high school was when I stopped playing with them. I was just interested in other things. Fast forward to 2010 and I see commercials for a new doll line coming out called "Monster High" and they looked interesting. I watched the New Ghoul on Halloween and within the next few months stumbled across a Frankie in a second hand store. I remember saving my money so I could buy a new one for Christmas and they were all sold out but what was not sold out was the Day at the Maul fashion pack which I adore. The first doll I ever bought new was Toralei and it is all a descent into madness from there. I met a woman at a flea market who mentioned a Fashion Doll group that she was in, where they would rotate and meet up at one another houses every month and chat dolls, do a show and tell, sell, trade and snack. I am so lucky to have entered into the world of dolls. I always instantly feel I understand people more who like them.

I’m a 44 year old doll Collector. Some are adult like Phicen, Hot Toys and freeing figma and others are like Kindi kids and also I love polly pocket. I’m now onto Mermaze Mermaids. I love them, they are beautiful and I enjoy them so much. I also wear a smiggle sleepy sprouts, baby bag. Oh and I have Barbie dreamtopia mermaids. I don’t care what people think. They bring me joy, they are highly collectible if kept in the packaging. Most of my Kindis are boxed and I sometimes buy two of the same doll so I can keep a boxed, collectible copy. I have always loved dolls. I had stopped for quite a few years because I just felt that now that I was an adult I should be acting like one. It’s not that I had any other bad habits such as smoking drinking partying all the time. Then I got married and life happens. However I started seeing on Pinterest all of these really cool and amazing dolls and I was curious about them. They were actually integrity dolls, which I don’t know how people find them how they’re able to get them where they’re not in the hundreds. However, I started to collect again , only to keep them in the box never to be played with. Then Covid happened and I decided that my dolls need to be free out of their box. I started swapping them to me to move dolls dolls and then the adventure begin. I build sets for them for when I do my photo shoots, I design clothing for them, I write full on Scripps for them and I love it. However, you are truly right unless you have been and the dog game he will not get a brand new one coming out without paying big bucks for.

I used to play w monster high dolls ALL THE TIME w my lil sister. I've always loved dolls, they're super pretty! but I grew out of playing with them and still never wanted to get rid of them since they're still nice to have and to see... I've been interested in BJD dolls for a while and finally got one about two years ago. It made me so happy to play dress up with her and take cute photos but I had some anxiety about people judging etc. Now, I have 3 1/3 BJD dolls! my first was a ucannon BJD off amazon, she's cute, but my smart doll came in on my birthday the next year and I was soooo obsessed oml. I just bought my second, and I love her! posted her on snapchat but had some friends think it was really strange that I'd just spent like $500 on one single doll... I am glad I'm not alone in collecting dolls in general but still feel kind of anxious... Thank you for your video

So we are very different but we are very much the same. I completely understand what you're talking about. You are also one of the prime examples that I talk about all the time. This thing that we do is unique to each one of us. It's a building of a museum and an idea that relates directly to our self and our inner person. It's owning a piece of the media that made you the person you are. It's a love for a superhero that never died out. It's an admiration for someone or something you want to be. My collection does not look like yours. Your collection does not look like mine. They are unique and descriptive to each and every one of us yet somehow brings us together as part of the collecting community. Keep doing what you're doing. Be you. Have fun. Life is short. Live it.

I'm a whole stud/ag lol.. And barbie and ken is the only thing girly I like.. Have a small collection now which I am limiting myself to.. Nothing wrong with doing what you love

I know what you mean I grew up the same way arts and crafts where's my life and I love my dolls until they're grown ups in my life told me that I'm a boy and boys don't supposed to play with dolls but now that I am grown I am rainbow high and Shadow high down

There were so many good points you made !!! I grew out of dolls when I was probably 13/14 & my focus turned to having crushes & all that stuff. But when I was 22 years old I went over to someone’s house & their daughters had 2 american girl dolls in the living room & I remember loving american girl dolls so much from age 5 up until 13 or so. So once I got home I looked them up & I found this community on Instagram & KZfaq. I was hooked ever since, now I love filming hauls, dollhouse update, decorating my dollhouse, etc !!! I’ve also recently gotten into Ruby red fashion dolls 😅 which does NOT help my wallet.

Jay this video is really cool and thank you for sharing your story with us. Similar story here, my sister and I bonded over Barbie we grew up and the dolls were forgotten, 7/8 years ago I found myself completely alone and came across a Barbie that I had started re rooting years ago (before I even knew re rooting was a thing) well I ended up finishing that re root then started thinking of others dolls from childhood to re root, well the collection restarted again before long I had bins of Barbies to last me a lifetime. Started doing research online came to youtube for videos and came across Myfroggystuff and my passion for crafting was reborn, Toya is an amazing crafter, Hextian, Marina, The doll boy and so many others that share their love for crafting, dolls and creativity. Doll collecting can be frustrating specially when they sell out or you can't get them (Barbie looks!!!), at one point storing was an issue also, I ended up with Barbie Houses, two castles and dolls everywhere they took over my room, I told my fiance an extra room is always needed for my collection and where I can go and craft! Happy collecting, Happy Crafting and if it makes us happy who are others to judge.

This video popped up in one of my Facebook doll groups and it made me feel great. I started collecting during lockdown 6 months ago and I have nearly 100 dolls. I love them and they bring me so much joy. I’ve been sewing and knitting them outfits and today I’m making a Christmas diorama. I often feel embarrassed and a little ashamed of my obsession but wish I didn’t. Your video made me feel a bit proud of my beautiful collection of ‘plastic friends’. My name is ashley. Im new here. Just stumbled upon this post. I stopped collecting dolls when I was 18 because I got married and I was ashamed of it. Later on in life, 4 years ago I discovered reborn dolls and I collect them and recently I am getting back into barbies. Barbies was my thing up to age 17. I used them for acting out stories I wrote. I am doing that again now. There is a series on my channel with my barbies. I also love crafting. Thanks for this video.
