Yeah definitely he could POTENTIALLY pull something crazy with roids. Krszysztf pulled 410kg (give or take) tested sumo and now he is pulling 502kg with room to spare. But I think these are hyper responders and there is also hypo responders out there. Luke Richardson pulled 400kg conventional suitless as a tested lifter and "only" settled with 425kgx2 with suit after juicing before he hit a huge strength plateau and how he has torn quad tendon once and biceps tendon twice. No idea which category Chance would fall into if he hopped on gear and I believe that's his main source of fear as well! Great interview Pete!

@thomas forsyth 41 and similar. Been off since last august. I went off TRT. I think getting back to natural would be healthier in the long run. I did HCG then clomid, all that, but feeling good again takes time. Just in the last 30 days started waking up with wood at night again sometimes. That honestly never happened for me on test. I think there are tiny imblances that happen while even on TRT. Some guys got sensative systems and need the tiny bit of pregnenalone, progesterone and all those minor hormones that natural LH & FSH help you make besides testosterone. But getting back to healthy natural levels takes patience. Also, some mental preparation too. Edit: even after the pct protocol it still takes time to truly feel good again. I call the time after pct "letting the dust settle". I have been off everything since last November.
@mikerude5073
@mikerude5073 2 жыл бұрын
@thomas forsyth The depression part was the worst. Part of what helped me get through the truly low test time period was having other hobbies to focus on. I knew it was inevitable I'd lose muscle, gain fat, and so on. Melt and turn to mush. Dieting during hormonal rocevery just wouldn't ne a good idea either. I simply had to focus on other things. Seperate my identity from what I see in the miror for a while. Now I can have sex again without it and overall I feel much healthier. That inbetween time is brutal, especially when you aren't 100% sure the balls or hypothalamus/pituitary will work again or not.

I’m happy these discussions are happening now. I still think TRT should be a last resort type of thing. You have people with terrible sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, and some of these people don’t even get to the gym regularly (certain exercises with weight, set, and rep protocols can increase testosterone, GH, etc as a stand-alone “treatment”). Seems like in a lot of cases TRT has the ability to compound those negative lifestyle factors. It’s not black and white just an observation.

There's health problems men get from having low testosterone, from diabetes, heart disease, depression and dementia. Probably similar health risks from taking too much. I think the problem is some trt clinics prescribe trt that's above the normal range. A true trt dose is 100mg/wk but is also dependent on blood work. But alot of clinics prescribe 200-250mg/wk. A rough guess of where it will put your levels is to multiply your T dose by 6. So a guy on 100mg/wk could be around 600TT. A guy on 250mg/wk is around 1500TT, that 500 above the top of the normal range.

@dansmith9724
@dansmith9724 2 жыл бұрын
@@jimrod4539 personally I'd get your Dr to give you a full work up, checking all hormones ie thyroid and adrenal, immune system, infections etc. Having mono from ebv can make you feel shit for a long time and any illness can lower your T. Once everything is ruled out and the low T doesn't have a treatable cause, than ask your dr about TRT. TRT does make you feel better but it's not like superman the way some people make out, its just getting your levels into the mid or upper third of the normal range. At 32yo I don't know if you have kids or not but it's something to weigh up. Also you want to keep on top of blood pressure and cholesterol when on trt and regular blood work twice a year checking everything like haematocrit etc. Trt seems to work well for mental health like depression and anxiety which they can be a symptom of low T. Trt makes your mood more robust I guess. That's my 10cents worth, I hope it has helped. 👍

I like Jamal in general, similar to how I like Clarence - both of which have used PEDs in competitions (tested). I truly believe in both cases it was the scenario of: - doing OKAY without the PEDs, but coaches/lifters push them to use the drugs to get their edge since "everyone else is using them". It's a shame. Jamal had to claim hard to no usage though because a lot of people aided him financially/resource-wise to get to the meet he got popped at.

You legit thought Jamal was natty? I like Jamal and I've been following him for a while and didn't know until now that he got popped for PEDs, but I always knew he was on something anyway. I think it's safe to assume everyone at his level is not natty whether its powerlifting or bodybuilding. Heck I think like a good 30-40% of people in my own gym are not natty anymore, there's so many instances where I hear guys openly talking about their PED usage. I'm actually grateful PED usage is more talked about now though so that natty lifters do not have unrealistic goals from their juiced up idols (respectfully).

I'd like to think the main reason not to use PED's is for longevity, in the end I think gear will have some effect sooner or later and will affect ones lifespan. I can see the temptation in wanting to see how strong we can get and reach or surpass our full potential but the cons outweigh the pros. Another side note I can understand why powerlifters may use it to be competitive with one another and break world records, but the average joes using them for social media popularity is ridiculous.....but to each their own i suppose

I couldn't do weekly injections if i had to go to the drs every week that would be a pain in the ass(literally). Why can't people just get 10 weekly injections of slow release testosterone instead of the 100-200mg weekly?

You don't have to take TRT because you wanna get big and strong again, you can take it for quality of life purposes and just go about your gym work normally. My dr. said 240-245lbs is about the cut off where people start getting bad sleep apnea, i've got it too and use cpap every night. find a dose of TRT that makes you feel better but not gain too much weight.i doubt you will want to go the rest of your life with low T especially as you get older.

Tbh I think Jamal’s claim that it was a tainted supplement checks out when you look at his numbers and progression. Since he got popped his squat went up 70kg, his bench 40, and his DL (on a stiff bar) like 60-70kg. Seems to me that he was probably natural when he was popped.

Firstly, I don't like this idea that X must be natural because when they went on their lifts blew up. If you were cheating then you're cycling and using a low dose, there's no reason to think when you stop cycling or take a "proper"/higher dose that your lifts wouldn't blow up. I do believe John Haack and Tom Martin were natty, but that's purely a guess. Belkin and Browner 100% were using and got caught. Secondly, if you go to any tested competition then you know A LOT of people talk about drugs. I don't mean to say they're cheating, it's just a thing I've seen plenty of times, especially among younger lifters. In some ways it's "edgy" or "cool" (to simplify it). Not knowing about Tbol? No chance. If you've lifted long enough you'll know about most drug names. You might not know anything more, but the name? You'll know.

Its weird how the concept of low dose cycling goes out of the window when the conversation is about natty competitors/fitfluencers. They're kinda trying somewhat to not get caught usually(depends on the politics of the organization), so of course they aren't blasting their faces off and would greatly benefit from upping the dose(dramatically as many untested people end up doing for a while).

I was on sus 250 for a bit to, that stuff just broke me out in back acne! i figured the acne was because its based in oil, (oil in linked to acne) its not the actual testosterone level causing the acne as i had similar levels on the gels, yet i had zero back acne.
