Yea things like t3, Clen, dnp, diuretics are cardio toxic. combine that with things like hgh which can induce heart hypotrophy and literal grams of androgens on top it’s a recipe for disaster.

Definitely true, 10 years ago, or the beginning of last decade, everything was so pro steroids, and the general sentiment in the online bodybuilding circles was that steroids were super safe as long as you “do it right” and that all warnings and concerns about steroids being dangerous was an “exaggeration” and you’ll be 100% fine as long as you cycle off and do PCT, whatever lol. Yet there were all these people in their early 20s who had been on gear for a couple years and looked like they were in their late 30s because of the high androgens so early.

I like what Louie Simmons said once...."If you aren't willing to die to do this, you shouldn't do it." Fact is everyone makes choices. YOU and you alone have to accept the responsibility of your actions. There are so many factors and not all anabolics are the same. What I don't like is when someone says "Steroids will kill you." In the average person's mind they think ALL no matter what they are or dosage or length of time taking them. People need educated and this has always been the struggle with steroid use. Lets not forget the diet and sleep play a huge role in health.
@PeteRubish

I think dosage and duration of taking them plays a huge role. And I think GH and insulin abuse play an even larger role. But are steroids as a whole good for you, obviously not.

If you aren't willing to die to do this, you shouldn't do it - this is wrong. As Pete said there is more than just lifting. Many of us, 99% of us, are not pros and we will never become pros. Why pushing to the limit? There is no money in powerlifting/strongman...few guys earned some good money but thats it, the rest of the guys are struggling. Why pushing the limit and destroy your health? Just see where are all the guys that were top guys 10-15 years ago. We all need to see what is the most important for us. Lifting is there to help us its not the thing we should die for. Blasting gear to win some local show and get a medal and a handshake...
@osu122975
@osu122975 2 жыл бұрын
@@PeteRubish I've always held the opinion that unless you have a medical reason for use, its better to just not do them. I agree with you on the gh and insulin. Too many things going into the body normally regulated naturally. Multiply that by caloric intake bulking then cutting and water depletion, its just a huge swing for the body year in and year out.

@@FreedomFighters89 I agree. Where does a person draw the line? It's ALL ego on our part. Some guys can't handle being average. For them, there is no other way and nothing else seems to matter but the goal. Unfortunately that goal doesn't really do much to benefit others.
@FreedomFighters89
@FreedomFighters89 2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Its hard to draw the line, put ego aside, admit some things to yourself. Thats why everyone of us should have a talk with ourselfs and turn to the real things. What is the most important thing for me? What do I want to achieve in this life? I see many people quoting Louie or some other HC lifter...but Louie was one of kind, and he gave his life, basically, to the powerlifting and sport science in general, and he was living like that (If you aren't willing to die to do this, you shouldn't do it), but for most of us this is not a life goal we should strive for.

Loving the vids dude. IT TIP: When you plugged in the mic and couldn't hear Sawyer anymore, i'd bet it was because your microphone took over the "Playback" of your computer (playback being whatever sound is coming out). So when you plugged it in, the audio was fed through the mic, but the mic doesn't have a speaker, so you can't hear anything. To fix this, plug in the mic, then right click the Sound thing on the bottom right of your computer. Click "Sounds," and click the "Playback" tab on the top. Right click your microphone and "Disable" it as a playback device. You should be able to hear things out of your speakers now. LMK if this makes sense bro, good shit on the content!

Great message, Pete. I'm 64 and have never competed or used PEDs. I've lifted for enjoyment for about 50 years, though. I credit persistent training nutrition and sleep for keeping me in good shape at my age. Reasonable training consistently for a long time really enhances the quality of later life. Lifting enough to maintain healthy metabolism, endocrine function, and connective tissue is a great way stay healthy for a long time.

Hey Pete, one reason you don’t hear about powerlifters having complications from anabolic abuse is because powerlifting is just such a small, niche sport. Bodybuilding is huge. People know those big names. There are several small town powerlifters in my area alone that have had kidney complications (dialysis), stroke, and other ailments due to heavy anabolic use. That stuff isn’t even hitting local news haha. It isn’t publicized until it happens to a big name. Just a thought on possible reasons we don’t hear much from powerlifting

Man I am loving the content! Keep it up! 👍💪🏼 A video idea that would be interesting to see would the effects of various doses of steroids that are widely used like testosterone! Such as what an average responder to PEDS could expect from 300 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg etc. but how it relates directly to powerlifting. I can’t think of many of any videos I have seen on that topic!
@PowerShack_MisFitness
@PowerShack_MisFitness 2 жыл бұрын
I second this. As far as strength gains go, how much of a difference could one expect per se, running a lighter cycle like 400/500mg Test and something like 200/250mg deca per week Vs. Running 1000/1200mg per week of Test only? In my opinion I think stacking lower doses of multiple compounds with lesser total mg combined gear per week would likely yield better strength gains due to the nature of the other Anabolics vs. Testosterone, like the joint benefits alone from nandrolone (deca / npp) rather than just blasting high doses of just test only? Then again I could be wrong here, Anyone have opinions or experience on this? Obviously blasting higher doses of multiple compounds works much better than both... but if those are your only two options what would some of yall choose for strength?
@user-by5cj8sw2m
@user-by5cj8sw2m 2 жыл бұрын
@@PowerShack_MisFitness 500 test + 250 nandrolone would be slightly weaker than 1000 test. Nandrolone is in general a bit more watery and less androgenic than test.

@PowerShack_MisFitness 2 жыл бұрын
@@user-by5cj8sw2m Noted! Cool, I appreciate the response. So basically more strength to be gained from 1000 Test vs. 500 test 250 nandrolone. These are the types of videos I think would be cool to see Pete do, although I dont think he wants to seem like hes giving out tutorials or "how to do gear" videos now, although it would be very informative to see the differences coming from someone like Pete with so much experience using peds. How about 750mg test per week with 75-100mg Anadrol per day, VS. 300mg Test and 350 tren ace per week? That would be an interesting comparison, although if I remember correctly Pete said he was a non responder to Anadrol so likely Tren with lower test would blow that away for him, then again I could be wrong... My initial impression would be the 750 test and 75-100 anadrol would be better? BUT I do know Tren is extremely androgenic vs other compounds as well. Its kinda interesting just doing these little "versus stacks / cycles" of which would out perform the other for purely strength gains.

Pete, I would love to see you set a new standart of physique. Your deadlift career unlocked some unique style of optics. You will see people are greatful for who you are now and what you have done. I'm so happy that there was someone like you doing all the experiences and pass it over to the younger generation. Happiness is the best medicine, tastier food equals better results. I can talk about myself: I took 2 years off from lifting because of the breakdown. (I'm 27) I'm now in the gym again for a month now, and it's another level. After you have done your ego work and pushed the grind so hard, you are free from the persuit for the rest of your life. It feels good now to know all the mechanics of the body, having all the little tricks to recover faster, having all the different training strategies in your repertoire, knowing your body, knowing when to cut, when to bulk, what foods, when specific foods, what works and what doesn't. Gym time is so fun now. I'M SO GREATFUL PETE! Keeping a good look and beeing effective in training is so easy now. For me it's like training in a relaxed state, the hypertrophy is just on another level when you competed in PL for some years... The multidimensionality of the bodycontrol. I'm not regretting the grind in the gym that I put in... (injuries and suffering included) I'm so happy that I'm the generation that followed you.

What caused his death was the standard painkiller medicine, which had blood thinning affects. It's kinda like being alergic to something, without ever being exposed to it..... I think it's mostly the size that contributes to the correlated deaths. The people who come to mind are pro wrestlers and bodybuilders, and not somebody like Lance Armstrong. You consider all the food, and a lot of it is meat high in saturated fat, and being 250lbs at 5ft on top of the drugs. Abuse of hgh is overlooked too, and most of the negative effects of that get credited to steroids.

What worries me is my kidney health. eGFR is currently 85 after having a Cystatin C test done few weeks ago. At age 44 it should be 100-110 or so. I will retest again in 8 weeks to see what direction it moves. Kidneys are so delicate and I don’t think I will blast again unless my eGFR is at least 95. Anyone else monitor there kidneys with Cystatin C blood test 3-4 times a year? If so, what results do you see before during and after blasts? Orals drop eGFR exponentially more than just 2-3 injectables? I should mention that just 12 weeks before my first Cystatin C test I blasted for 4 months including 1-2 orals. So hopefully I can get my eGFR much higher than 85 at my next Cystatin C test next month. Thanks so much, I’m at a crossroads until my next Cystatin C test in 5-6 weeks.

As far as I know bodybuilders not only have the PED issues but also diuretics etc. Powerlifters don't care to look shredded so they won't take all this additional shit. Plus the amount of injuries they get with the crazy weights may be a blessing in disguise whereas bodybuilders could in principle train with relatively light weights and not get that kind of wake up call.

I have to be honest tho I have slowed down a lot over the past 4 years but I do still run TRT and 1 time a year I'll throw another compound on. But I do control bp now with Medicine, go in for heart scans once a year and of course blood work for everything else. I know between Dallas and Bostin they woke me up hardcore on health.

To add to this comment amounts obviously matter too. For example there is a big difference in how 250-500 mg is versus 1 gram plus. But if you are going to use PEDS please EDUCATE yourself on what measures you need to take to be safe and what side effects you may prone too over years of use. And that brings me to another point. Most people who start using won’t stop with just one cycle. Just some points to consider. Stay safe out there everybody. Take care of your health and body. We only get one!☝️
