Ali Siddiq is a stand-up comedian, public speaker, and writer out of Houston. Ali’s unique style of stand-up began behind the walls of incarceration, an incubator for interesting experiences and good stories.
People received their first taste of Ali Siddiq when he appeared on HBO's DEF COMEDY JAM and LIVE FROM GOTHAM, and in 2013 he was named Comedy Central's "#1 Comic to Watch". In 2014, Ali impressed comedy enthusiasts by displaying his ability to captivate an audience with his "Mexicans Got On Boots" tale, descriptive storytelling, with over 15 million views, of a prison riot on THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, the first of three appearances. His stories continued with his HALF HOUR special, which premiered on Comedy Central in the fall of 2016. Immediately following the premiere of that special, Comedy Central offered Ali an hour-special where he performed for inmates live in a Texas jail, sending Ali back to where it all started. The hour special, Ali Siddiq: It’s Bigger Than These Bars, premiered in February 2018 on Comedy Central. In 2019, Ali could be seen as a Top 5 finalist on NBC’s BRING THE FUNNY. Most recently, Ali could be seen as a guest on THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE.

I don’t know why someone would waste an opportunity to hear _new_ Ali Siddiq on literally any subject, everything this man says is gold. I’m not devaluing the gold I’ve already got, but if I’m given the choice for new gold or gold I’ve already got and saved to a playlist that I can access anytime (and often do) I’m going with that new gold, baby! I’d love to hear more on Ali’s adventures in the PTA, for one thing. If I was a producer I’d make that a TV show in a heartbeat. I love his parenting stories!

to be honest I wouldn't mind hearing and old Ali Siddiq. Especially if its a really good oldie. Sometimes it just hit different, even if you have heard it before when its done for you in person. I once went to Preacher Lawson's standup right after he blew up a bit after America's got talent. His set was complete gold. But then someone talked him into actually doing the bit on the naked guy on a trash can that he did from the show. That shit was still hilarious and just hit a lil different live vs on TV. Its like going to a concert. Yeah you enjoy hearing your favorite music artist do songs from their newest CD. But sometimes its great to see them get up and do a classic that got you to be their fan in the first place.

A true wordsmith and master of the craft. This video makes me understand the DE series so much more, and why he put it out at such a rate. They were an opus magnum the likes of which needed telling and which any other comedian could never create, but hes never gonna rest on those laurels. Excited to see what comes next! I found him by accident ..KZfaq's wonderful algorithm recommended the this is not happening mushrooms story. Fell in love with his form and his style. It's called stand up, but he is one of the very, very few people who can make a joke funny while not being loud, not being too animated, while sitting down. I went back to find everything I could.
