I keep both a basic and a smartphone; Basic for all the serious things, calls, bank/sensitive info and the smartphone for GPS, checking on my mother, lectures during long rides, research, work, and on-the-go quran memorization.. It's only a smartphone if you use it smartly and as useful as you make it👍

Why carry two devices then?... that makes no sense 🤷🏻♂️ How about you Learn self control instead and carry just the one more capable device
@ambaro08874 ай бұрын
LOOOL Why? => Try to spy, hack or at least send malicious links to a basic Nokia; You pretty much disabled a hacker's entire cyber toolbox ;) PLUS: The battery lasts MUCH longer on a basic phone: Around 2 weeks on a full charge with normal use => No more charge anxiety 😎
@deltaechomusicnh5554 ай бұрын
So the way your describing a basic phone, is essentially a smartphone...
@counterdebate4 ай бұрын
@@ambaro0887 yes a phone, laptop and computer can be hacked, so I presume you don't use any of them too.... Oh no hold on you have a smartphone too! 🤣So hacking isn't a reason then... As far as charge goes, if a long standby time is what you need, then that makes sense...or charge a smartphone once a day or every two days, like most people do... But since you say you carry two that means you charge two phones not one...so double trouble! but obviously none of that takes away from my orginal question.... "as to why carry two phones then" 🤷🏻♂️

Good tip brothers. It's not about against using smartphones but finding ways to improve life that would best meet our purpose. If you're bought to the idea, try it and leverage the gains vs losses. If it works keep doing it. If it doesn't, learn from it.

Hmm I don't know if that was necessary. This is what I did. I have a big family alhamdulillah and big friendship groups. I was on manu group chats. I realised we stopped talking to each other individually which took the privilege of having sincere 1 to 1 conversations. So I exited all groups besides only one small one with my closest friends only 4 of us. Oh and I don't use Facebook, Instagram, tiktok. Only Snapchat. But since I left all the groups the amount of clarity that befell me was unexpected and took an immense weight off my shoulders that I never realised I even had.

They didn't just make this smart phone out of coincidence. They knew exactly what they were making. They knew this would be the biggest distraction to the human race, and SubhanAllaah look at the humans now they can't even live without it. They can live without Qur'an, Zikr remembering Allaah Subhanaotala, but they can not live without a smartphone or Internet. Allaah Hu Akbar

I've used and still use my blackberry 9320 ever since I was 12 as I wasn't allowed a smartphone until i'm 18. - over the years I've hated and loved it so much - you could never turn the camera sound off, it powers off and reboots randomly and if I shake it or drop it hard it restarts for 10 mins but I really love the physical qwerty keyboard and its style and i never really have to charge it its battery is amazing! - too bad RIM discontinued them. you get lots of odd remarks to having one of these in today's generation but I've gotten to enjoy it. - yes I have youtube on it and yes I waste time on it sometimes. - but im sure if i had an actual smartphone I would have wasted so much time on it so In a way im happy to use it. - keep at it! -you can never beat nokia I could throw one at walls and they never break😂

I also manage without a smartphone. There are indeed some conveniences that are missing, but I figure it out. I write down directions to places, I have an old garmin for backup if I get lost, and I wait until I'm home to use the internet for things. I have a tablet computer for times when I have to present something digitally (like an airline boarding pass), because usually places have wifi, but otherwise I don't use the internet when I'm out. I usually bring a book or people watch if I have to wait for something.

I just read reviews for the Nokia 2720. This guy is waffling a load of rubbish. The phones has apps reinstalled such as Google apps like KZfaq, Maps, and Assistant, and you’ll also find Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp etc. So either his a liar or has them removed from the phone. But then you might as well have a smartphone but with those apps uninstalled.
