As a Mid main I hate Senna. I don't know why - but anytime there is an enemy Senna support they just live mid-lane. Every god damn time you trade, this B will come walking out the bush to claim a soul... and they are always so ballsy about it, they walk clean up like they are playing a tank.

One thing your forgot to mention is that her Q scales with her range. It's not enough to start with 1300 range, oh no no no! She needs more!

This video has taught me that a person can describe any ability that has a lot of words to make it sound insane. Edit 1: Added "can" so the sentence means what I wanted it to. Changed the "you" to "a person" because this wasn't meant to be about you specifically. Edit 2: To actually talk about the criticism in the ad scaling is very strong, but we also have to remember she gets no ad from levels to compensate for her passive. For the ult its true it reaches across the map in 2 seconds, but it shows where its going to be so its pretty easy to dodge if you aren't already dodging a lot of things (but that's true for most abilities). The globalness of Senna's ult is oversold imo; it's a lot better to open team fights with. I also think you undersold how dangerous getting caught out with senna is. She has no get off me tools and slow autos. If you get jumped on as senna you are basically dead. The root won't help because of the windup. Lastly I think playing back is the wrong way to fight poke, because their strength is hitting you at a distance when you can't fight back. There are times to play back, but I think starting that way makes the poke player win the matchup. Don't get me wrong, Senna is not weak. She is incredibly strong and great at preventing people from all in-ing her. It is nice to hear what other players find frustrating about playing against Senna so I can exploit that more when I play her. The AP scalings might be a bit much because that has enabled me and others to build Zhonya's on Senna which feels wrong. This is a good video regardless of my disagreements with certain points. It also taught me the % current health damage is better than I remembered.

I don't think enough people understand that she starts with the base AD of Soraka (50 AD, 5 less than the second lowest marksman) and literally gains 0 per level. Sure. She infinitely scales. But she needs to get like 4-5 souls a minute to exceed another ADC in raw AD unless everyone in the game is level 18. And that's not accounting for senna support who makes much less gold.

I dont have an issue with senna whatsoever and i feel like the champion is quite weak actually, yeah shes kind of strong in lane and then what? she gets one shot by the enemy tank, jungler or mid. Cho gath support is the real menace

I still have no idea why half of his abilities are the way they currently are ( free zed AND ekko R on his E , his R is not only a blink *not a dash* but is also unstoppable ... shouldnt you be rewarded if you managed to stun him in the 0.2 seconds during which he channels his R, instead of being laughed at as he blinks through your only cc and then one shots you ... and dont even get me started on ALL the buffering he has - why even stun him when half of his sht gets casted through the stun anyway)

I hate Senna but also love her, it's a pretty fun adc but I have this curse whenever she is on my team I immediately lose, it's my bad luck charm. Can we talk about yasuo and yone? Their unstoppable ults are just annoying, they throw you into the air so you can't do nothing besides no matter if they go 0/30 they will just delete you

She is definitely a lot stronger in lower elo, where people rarely keep track of what the enemy does and let her poke. I used her to get into gold with a fairly high winrate and it always felt like my goal was to just make my adcs useless by outscaling them. The heal is far from enchanter worthy, but building lethality does help quite a lot anyways. I think the worst thing about her is that she literally competes with her adc and scales even better if she steals kills

first off great vid, you got way to few subs and views for this quality. second il just throw my 2 cent in the ring as , not a senna main but senna enjoyer. i feel her main weakness comes early and against any assassin that can jump on her. early she has one of the lowest hp max in the game and you can feel that if you go to aggressive with her, she can poke long range yes but poke a little to much and you can easily find yourself losing flash or even dying, so it looks like she should play more supportive early but her q got a decently long cd and high mana cost on top of not healing that much early. all of this is of course to balance out her infinite scaling late game but that means if she falls behind there is a good chance that you will be blown up by poke or assassins rather than you being the one doing the blowing up. finally i also feel like in my experience you have 2 choices with her every game, either go adc and get more gold in exchange for stacks or you are a supp and you get more stacks but at the cost of having lower income meaning you scale slower from items. i think the best think i can say about her kit is its really a win more kit. if you can win lane and not fall behind to hard you can abuse her passive to gain more and more stacks and win the game harder .... until you get blown up by an assassin because your still a super squishy marksmen with no real escape tool outside her W 9that most of the time only goes of after they kill you) this is all just my experience from playing senna (and league as a hole) very casually at relatively low ranks

senna main here, Tbh i agree with you at the most things, she is scaling like crazy, especially when you build right items on her, she has good amount of sustain on lane, and she outpokes most of adc's. Problem with her is that she is so squishy, that every lethality build whether on adc or on assasin can destroy her (like mf, rengar, lee sin), she hates poke mages bcs she is oneshoted at lvl 6 by the most of them (xerath, lux, zyra), just like the poke adc (smolder, ezreal), she cant take any good engage on her(tham, shen, naut and etc.). Well you could say "just posision her good", and that's true, but you can't always do that, in a fight you have many variables and not always you can expect them all. Overall when senna is not focused, she has great potential in teamfight's just aswell on lane, but the biggest weakness of her (as a half-joke) is her team. Many people hate senna or doesn't have a clue what she does so they treat her like a bait or engage supp, so for example when enemy engages, champs like ezreal or any other adc with boost to movement just runs away in any elo up to low diamond (from my experience). Also i have a request, do a hate video on zyra XD

Senna is my favorite champ. You make her seem unstoppable or something, but she’s hard countered by champions like Zac and Maokai. Even ADCs like Ashe can beat her ass.

Thanks for the vid! For context, not an OTP but she is in my pool - I just want to share my perspective. For the most part, post mid-game, everything you speak about is correct. She scales super hard, is not difficult to pilot and is straight up, unfair. Most of this though is strictly based on the vector of infinite scaling, there should be no such thing in the game (Veigar, Nasus, Asol, now Smolder - all ridiculous at 30+ minutes), especially in a game where the other 95% of the roster is locked to 6 items and are capped/gated behind percentage scaling tags on their skills. One thing you missed is the importance/imbalance of the additional gold generation (in a lane that suffers the most from it). It's quite easy to hit 100 stacks around ~20 minutes, which translates to an +800g advantage on the enemy support, or two long swords (20AD) and some change. This is more prevalent than ever because of the removal of armour shards. Outside of those points, I don't agree with how you make her out to be an untouchable cheat code in the early game. Her base AD (50) is extremely low, especially this season given the World Atlas does not give AD; she's a nuisance at best if she can get a decent trade by timing the Fleet proc with Q cooldown (proccing passive is where her early damage is, not 2x AA and Q). She suffers from resource issues, needing Presence of Mind, Manaflow band, a Tear or any combination based on preference/play style. Her low base attack speed and attack wind-up time make for terrible sustained (equal) trades, and she's immobile (any early aggressive ADC wipes her). Engage tanks and mages with high base damage punish her really hard on one misplay/bad positioning, especially with how much burst is in the game now. She may not be difficult to pilot, but identifying trade windows, managing resources, and utilising non-champion targets to hit champions with Q gives her a bit of a skill ceiling. Hitting Qs off minions in lane (early) is a gamble that you have to land, else you're left with no damage/heal, a massive cooldown, and -25% of your mana. Placing wards to land a Q can also be challenging to learn and line-up. Simply complaining that she can Q off almost anything is one dimensional. Her ult is super strong but you need to pick your moments, which means you need to watch the map and other lanes. It's good practice to do so, but a necessity on Senna. Also, being able to pierce Yasuo's W leverages her pick as the only counter to it, I don't believe it should be framed the other way. Yes, that glorious wind has a 'big' cooldown, but it's a basic ability that completely nullifies champions (like Orianna), which also shouldn't exist in its current capacity. You can argue Yas is a high skill ceiling champ, but in this case your only tool for defense (the globule W) will still get deleted by the wind, even if it's a pixel away from connecting, because of how his W is generated (from the centre of his model). Once he gets on top of you it's over; he has a higher movespeed value, is mobile and can catch you with a Q/EQ/flash EQ, as well as for the above reasons. Knowing and pacing kiting distance applies to all champions versus Yasuo, but it's not as eyes-closed on Senna as its made out to be here. Again, just sharing my perspective, I don't mean to be condescending, for all I know you have 1mil+ mastery on her. I'm only trying to help out for future content, your presentation is great. If you dissect and address absolutely every variable and pick your shots (like your discussion on her E) the series has potential, and you cover all the salty Andys on the side. I just felt here there were far better champions and balancing issues to kick off your series concept, like Katarina or Yone, who don't get punished for misplay and don't have the consequence of resource management, unlike Senna.
