And, honestly, the dub coloring, and Dedede symbol on the front, seem like something the egotistical Dedede would do with a personal tank-jeep.

As a kid I always mentally compared Dedede's voice to that of Foghorn Leghorn, and Escargoon's to Paul Lynde. And I have to say, overall, the dub is funnier. And even if I hated the dub, I'd still forgive it for overlocalizing the busty Tiff scene (seriously, that segment's entire JP self makes me heave).

We do know that some of the characters and objects are frequently done using CGI, the cgi is common on Kirby, King Dedede, Escargoon, Dyna Blade, and several miscellaneous characters, this helps get smoother animation without overworking the animators, this was also very similar and could remind people of how 2d animated films were also combined with cgi, such as The Rescuers Down Under (1990), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Lion King (1994), Pocahontas (1995), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), Hercules (1997), Mulan (1998), Tarzan (1999), Fantasia 2000 (1999), Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), Lilo & Stitch (2002), Treasure Planet (2002), Brother Bear (2003), and The Princess and the Frog (2009).

Also, most of the scenes that included guns and deadly weapons were removed from the english dub mostly in response the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which also changed kids films such as Monsters, Inc. (2001) and Lilo & Stitch (2002).

I’ve noticed that whenever people talk about the changes 4kids makes, they never go into why these changes would be made, or even how severe the changes were. They just look at the censorship or silly cases like the jelly filled donut incident and blow it way out of proportion. To them, every change is a bad change. There’s no nuance, it’s just 4kids bad, end of story

Unlike every anime I've watch I actually HEAVILY recommend the dub becuz of 2 things: 1.its funny 2:it has a LOT more soul than the original dub which feels soulless and corporate

In my opinion dub vs sub is such a pointless thing to argue about, if it get's more people into the series who cares which one they prefer. There's talented voice actors on both sides doing their best with what their given, it irritates me how there's so few dub reaction videos for One piece for example. And when someone tries, you have people in the comments actively discouraging them from sticking with the dub. I know that's the norm for sub elitsts but it's different when their influncing someone's first time watching an anime. And the Kirby dub is one of the best ones 4kids ever did, it probably helps that it fit them so well and while i would've loved for them to use more of the music from the games it's not a deal breaker. Plus their own music is still good in it's own right.

I personally like how this dub is not taking very seriously there are like 3 episodes were its taking seriously which is fine for those 3 stuff also i really like the soundtrack like really like it its the same people who did sonic x soundtrack and honestly this one is better its not much different but its defenitly fits more kirby there is heavier emphasis on bouncy synth lines and orchestral and also being very bizzare while as sonic x is more electronic and glitchy based to fit the more fast paced style kirby is much more goofy and like bizzare sounding

One time I heard tht the reason they remove text is so they can use the same footage for every dub, so if 4Kids get the American and French or German or what-have-you rights to a show they don't have to translatye anything. Like how Sonic Boom was a French/American coproduction, and in that series all on-screen text is just a bunch of gibberish and random letters.

Tbh, Kirby is actually one of the only 4kids dub that is actually pretty decent/good. And as far as censorship’s when it comes to 4kids dub, the Kirby dub’s censorship wasn’t too over the top compared to Sonic X, the OG Yu gi oh, Magical doremi, the list goes on. But anyways, I agree the Kirby dub deserves a lot of more love than it deserves.

You're misinformed because Dedede and metaknight weren't iconic for their American portrayal of the show They're iconic because of the countless games they appeared in They were both villains who progressed throughout the game lore as favorite by the fans the games gave them more attention than just generic villains That's why the show added them specifically because of their games popularity The dub had nothing to do with it It just made them sound all ghetto and southern
