@mousebr549 and @martadominkak I'm left with no choice than to believe that there's no place for honestly in your dictionary. I wouldn't advice your partners to be vulnerable with either of you. It takes maturity to handle such conversations which obviously they both have.

Do I think that I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen? No, I am very aware that he chose me for my depth of character, my love and respect for him and his culture. And he loves me for the reasons that he holds in his heart. Everything does not need to be said. There's a Chinese proverb that says, once a plate is broken, you can glue it back together. But you can never put it back the way it was. I should not criticize your relationship as well. If it works for you, then I am happy for you. Just remember, women's minds work differently from men's minds. And you have planted this seed in your wife's mind. Hopefully, it won't grow. Women never forget.

I am sure there are many other reasons he keeps in his heart, as do I. Everything does not need to be said out loud. There is a Japanese proverb that states: "If you break a plate, it can be glued back together. But it can never be in its pristine state, and the flaws will always be there. And so it is with our words. Once they are spoken, they cannot be retrieved". The nature of a woman is that she is very sensitive. And a woman never forgets anything, especially the things her husband says and does. You have planted a seed in your wife's mind. I would not nurture that seed. Hopefully it won't grow into resentment. Just a bit of advice from a woman.

​@@benjaminnkem5623 Have you considered that it is possible to be honest while also being mindful of the other person's feelings?Explain to me please how on earth telling your partner that they were just an option for you help them be comfortable with being vulnerable. It is however a great way to make your partner feel unvalued and undesired.
