Beautiful beautiful San Angel one of my favourite spots in Mexico City with its Spanish Colonial architecture cobble stone streets, colourful charming houses and much more. Brings back many memories, my last stay was in 1998. While I was driving my VW campervan from the top of Alaska to the bottom of South America I met a Mexican girl who I ended up marrying after my van was stolen. I have a Mexican son who we christened in San Angel. One of the world's great cities but yes the traffic is horrendous. The metro and walking through the streets and the many fine parks is a great compromise as you get to know the city. Thank you for posting your videos of Mexico City.

One of the great things about this city is that after all these months, we can still find interesting spots like San Angel that we haven't explored yet. What other neighbourhoods or cities should we visit near Mexico City?

The New Travel welcome back! You need to check out Televisa a famous film and television studio in San Angel. You’ll see actors and actresses just walking around the studio. You also need to check out the bougainvillea colonial homes. Very interesting video. The rich and poor living together concept caught my attention. Can you make a video on the living cost in San Angel?

I’m impressed a lot of people in Mexico speak English. What do you think about it, Dan? Even old people speak English, which is weird over here in the U.S. that old and even young people speak another language because they think that English is the only language that matters.

Good question, Octavio. I will say this. Not everyone in Mexico City speaks English, not even close. But those who don't are always very patient with my broken Spanish, and try their best to understand me. That for me is such an important quality, and makes the experience living here much more pleasant. As for my Spanish skills, they are developing, as I've started reading in Spanish every night before bed. Maybe I'll get the confidence to do a video all in Spanish... one day :)

Yeah! I'd also like to know your opinion, Dan. I live in Mexico City and I know that many people speak english, old and young. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but It think there's a policeman in Coyoacan that speaks at least 5 languages! And just like Octavio says, people in the U.S rarely speak any other language. What about Canada? What are your thoughts?

Hi, Octavio. Mexico is extremely rich in history, and its people are super rich in culture. Many Mexicans speak several languages. For example, every day some national TV companies broadcast French movies, and learning languages is very popular. On the other hand, I am super surprise because people in the USA do not like to learn about other countries "Speak English."

Nice videos Dan, I like the way you discover places I'm so used to. It makes me rethink them and have a new perspective of them. Now you're approaching the south hemisphere of Mexico City I'd highly recommend you to go to Pedregal. It's a very unique space like no other in the world, an exclusive residential area built within an undeveloped area with volcanic soil and a very rare vegetation. It houses artistic and historical buildings (from mid. 20th century) and it houses the national university. You would never finish discovering it.

You should visit Tepoztlan. It is a town (pueblo mágico) close to Mexico City, like an hour and a half away. It is right beside Cuernavaca. Tepoztlan is a rustic town next to the mountains, on weekends you will find a Mexican craft market. But the coolest part of Tepoztlan (I think) is the Tepozteco which is a mountain that you climb and there is a pyramid at the top. Also, the view from that place is beautiful.

Well, Cholula is a great spot if you are interested in history and culture (there is a little pyramid and a lot of museums), so I would definitely suggest that. Los Fuertes is not only a beautiful place to walk around, but it's also an historic place, it's linked to La Batalla De Puebla. Of course, the Historical District.
