I was thinking about storing the table you made. Would it be viable to recess hinges into the table centre so it could fold in half for storage. This should be possible as long as the top material of the table was strong enough to support the other half through the hinges.

I used to have a Hitachi skill saw that size, it died from being kept in a damp garage, ended up needing it recently to rip some 4" stock in half, ended up using the festool ts55 (with the fence not the track) and flipping it upside and cutting through the other half.

Nice work! I like this style of video - cool seeing how things are done. I’m not a tradie but love to learn and walking through the steps and thought process is very helpful 👍 What would be cool is a cordless version of this tool - I’ve calculated/sized the motor and battery specs and it would be entirely possible in a cordless config. But would it be necessary or useful to anyone?

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ppeHkraIp8u2eI0.html If you manage to get hold of one, try one similar to these in the link. Scott’s one in the vid is fine for occasional holes, but when pre-drilling & countersinking 100’s of holes (decking etc, like I do every day ☹️ ) Scott’s type will tend to get blocked and jammed with timber, especially hardwood decking etc. The open design type like the Macsim are far superior.
