Girl you are not alone, I quit ICU too, I came from psych floor to ICU, I was stressed so much that I couldn’t take it anymore, I thought I was loosing my mind. Am back in psych. I believe we All belong somewhere.

Hello 👋 ... I found your channel on diamond painting and here I am lol. I'm not a nurse or in medicine but I'm finding your videos very interesting and relaxing! You're a compassionate and smart lady and I'm sure a nurse I'd hope for if I needed one. ☺

I lasted 4 month into the ICU..they were giving me 4 pt after a month I was there, that was the normal and I didn’t see my colleagues complaining, It was really too much for me, felt like defeat after quitting but I gain so much peace in my mind. Thanks for the video, can relate 100%.

Oh wow, I CAN’T even image what it must have been like. We’ve all been in that position I think, taken a job that we thought we could handle, and then got out of it, I know I have. YOUR pressure is nothing that I have experienced as pressure though.

Thank you Joe!! It was bad. It really was. What made it so bad was the nursing shortage. In that setting we are only supposed to get 2 patients max because they are so unstable and unpredictable and labor intensive to care for. But I was getting 3-4 every shift. The managers would tell me that it was because I did such a great job and I can be trusted with that patient load. That doesn’t make it ok though 🤦🏾♀️. Even when I told them I can’t keep handling that, that it was too much they still didn’t listen. I felt my nursing license was in jeopardy every time I went to work. Now at my new job I’m a Critical Care Float Nurse so I’m still in the ICU and ER but the patient loads are better, or they were before Covid. Now it’s starting to become ridiculous again with the amount of patients I have to care for each shift. Honestly Joe I would have walked away from my job in 2021 if it weren’t for diamond painting. Seriously. The way the stress of the day melts off me while dp’ing is a big factor of what keeps me going back!! I’m so glad to know that this issue is relatable and I’m not alone. I’m so glad you got out of that toxic situation as well. We only have one life to live and its too valuable to spend being stressed out all the time. Thank you Joe for taking the time to know me. I truly do appreciate and value you. Thank you!!🥰❤️

You shouldn’t work at somewhere if your not happy. You deserve happiness and the right to leave if you aren’t happy. Great video! :D

Where did you work?? I don't feel that support at work at all. I'm on the ICU and my orientation was 2 months and I'm off now. I don't feel ready whatsoever!!! I have anxiety and everything else that comes with it!

I worked at a place called OSF outside of Chicago. It really was a blessing to have such a supportive staff because unfortunately that is so uncommon. I’m so sorry you are feeling that way. I hope it’s better for you now. No matter what you got this. You’re smart and talented and you have made it this so far so only the skys the limit for you!! You got this Girl💜💜💜
