AllOffroad 4x4 Adventures TV I've suffered the last 5 years with low back, S.I. joint and sacrum issues. I can't even sit on couch or recliner more than 10-15 minutes. back in April a buddy calls me and tells me bought the canam Maverick X3. so I prepared my self to hating life and riding for a few minutes. that turned in 6hours. I can't stay I'm such more than without needing a bed to recover. they were absolutely amazing seat. been trying source a couple but they are expensive.

I really wanted to see you build the truck, it would have been extremely unique. I understand your plight when the truck doesn't fit it doesn't fit. That's may sound odd to some, but not everyone can understand why we do what we do. You made the right decision as difficult as it may have been. Good luck on your next build and God bless.

Hi Stefan, have you thought of perhaps something a little more modern? kinda newish and something that has been built for today's creature comforts and touring in mind for the Australian outback? the new iveco 4x4 is great but I am not too sure on what the costs are at for dual cab with the back sorted for touring? have you test driven one? and are you looking for something just as big or are you looking for more of a wagon again? Kind Regards George

Not sure why this 3 year old video came up in my suggestions now... But the size issues are something interesting. I'm a bit shorter than that (187) with a long torso, and i had no head issues while wearing the then issue steel helmet and going offroad. Given i only experienced the passenger seat(s) but we had tall guys (190-195) driving them with combat boots (which have little sole extensions in the front so you can fixate them on oldschool skibindings... Something tells me that the more comfortable 718 got less space than the older 710 and 712... Or it might be a right hand drive thing? The big black thing above the head at 6:08 is also something i don't remember beeing there in those.

Too bad ,looking forward to a camp conversion. I have more foot room in my 65 VW van. Looks like you already have a new truck , but a 78 series with a camper on the tray might work. You guys in Australia have so much more choices than we do than us in the States.(how about a 4x4 Sprinter?)

@smitthone7 жыл бұрын
of course....problem is nowadays car are too confortable, you can't compare utility vehicles or trucks designed 30-40 years ago with the confort.... And once you got the utmost confort, hard to go back. And most of the driving in "big trips" is made on road...
@AlloffroadAu7 жыл бұрын
+smitthone It's not the comfort, I gave up my Discovery 3 (which is complete luxury) for a Defender which isn't. I changed my play truck from a Discovery 2a for a 1995 Defender single cab so I can do with less comfort but A good seating position and food room if you have problem knees and back is a necessity
