Thanks for sharing, I like the tape aswell because I like to play around with various set ups and they seem to come off the shaft cleaner, however if I plan to shoot them for a longer period of time I add a touch of glue to the ends and center of the feather. This keeps the feather stable while also allowing me to remove the feather and even reuse it if necessary! Great video Be well

No thank you for watching. The shot was made at 37 yards slightly quartering away the arrow penetrated completely, the 650 grain Cedar shaft topped with a Zwickey 2 blade Cliff Zwickey head and a Bear Grizzly 1967 vintage recurve bow did the job. The elk ran about 80 yards before piling up. I will be posting this hunt along with a few others on my Patreon Page in the very near future...

There is a film tape that I have used at work in the past which I am pretty sure is exactly the same as fletching tape. There is a main brand called Bron that makes it, red and in skinny rolls. Primarily used to tape printed graphics onto displays. I have built a few arrows with the stuff and it works great. Same tape but way cheaper!

That doesn’t surprise me at all. I used to work for a manufacturing company that did the same for a common household item we all use that I won’t name (hint: you hang curtains on them 😂). That made me realize it is pervasive throughout most products and in most of not all industries.

I like the tape, it's quick no mess but as Great as it is, my question is... ...Why don't they make the fletching with the tape already on the quill , so you can just put it in the clamp, peel it and place it on the shaft? Do they make any fletching with tape already on it?

i dont plan on using wraps. What it comes time to remove the taped fletches, what is the process? is it easy?

Just curious what your go to fletching end mark is on the Bitzenberger and whether that works on all types of arrows or you vary whether wood, carbon or aluminum. Arizona easy fletch seems to be about 1 3/8" but most prefetched arrows purchased are usually less and vary per manuf. Enjoying your videos. How was the Elk hunt this fall?

The hunt was outstanding got a really nice 5x5 I use 1.5 inches for my feathers to clear my fingers

Thanks for the tips. Seating the tape a bit at a time and using a knife to peel away the plastic is very helpful. The directions on the package are terrible!

You obviously have never used the Bearpaw archery glue. Quicker to apply and sticks in seconds, much quicker and easier than using tape. No waiting 5 mins between fletchings.

Will have to give it a try. If it is super glue it will not stick to the arrow wraps that good.
