When i first saw rewind i thought they’d have legitimate science you tubers like yourself and mehdi, and was just appalled that they replaced such a large part of youtube with non-scientific garbage that they think you guys all create.

Well, even if you're on KZfaq 24/7 you might not know some of those people since you're not the audience they target. They won't be recommended to you. KZfaq just looked at who has high subscriber number, who is perfectly politically correct and who do the kids like.

For the last few years their business model has moved away from amateur content creators and have been pushing it as another platform for large media outlets to post their content. For late night shows who have new content 5 days a week this is the only place that makes sense. KZfaq likes this because it draws traffic and is advertiser friendly. Ads make money, KZfaq wants to monetize. Doesn't matter how many subscribers someone has or how good their content is; if you don't bring in ad revenue for KZfaq, you are worthless to them.
