It's not the fact that you are wearing formal attire. It's the fact that you wear formal attire that is probably from the 50's or 60's coupled with your formal speaking pattern that feels sort of like a modified 50's mid-Atlantic accent. So watching you, is like watching a time traveler from the past eating modern populous food. It is a head trip, quirky and thus interesting.

I do. I work in a factory. So I have to wear safety glasses. I have rx goggles and have long hair and a beard, and wear a bandana all the time. Also I'm goth, so I wear all black, 24/7. However, I'm ginger, and look like Rhett from GMM. My look is kinda mad max/apocalyptic. Some people make fun, but it's me.

I'm 15 and I can relate with your choice of wearing formal attire. I only started caring for my clothes about 4 months ago and I always go out in a tie and jacket. I am still a bit scared of what people might say but when the compliments come in it boosts my confidence and happiness. I also, like you got influenced by old fashion and old movies and photos. I love it and Im glad someone shares the same views as me.

I also started wearing formal clothing at the age of 15 (or 16? I don't remember anymore), look confident, walk confident, as long as you do that, you will feel confident, which makes you be confident, a suit fits better if the one wearing it is confident, this applies to most, if not all, types of formal wear, so it works damn well even with just a dress shirt and suit pants. How's it been going for you recently? Has your style developed? May you go into detail for me? I'm curious, of course, you don't need to if you don't want to. Hit me up if you want to talk! Be aware though, I may not know all of the terms, at least in English. I'd love to have a chat!

I really respect the formal dress. If you brought someone from the 1960s to today, they’d ask why everyone dressed like bums. People wear pajamas out to the store today and that would be unspeakable in the past. Honestly, we’ve gained much but lost much at the same time. Huge props to you.

Despite my comment being lost to the sea of other comments here and the video being so old it won't be seen, I want to genuinely thank you for making me feel better about myself with how I choose to dress. I'm not quite ready to take the full leap into my preferred style nor am I able to because of work dress codes and such. However, because of you I have been given that little extra push I needed to just throw on an outfit and rock it and not care about the weird looks I get. i really love this, i wish more men would find inspiration from previous decades where mens fashion was a lot more expressive. you see women follow fashion trends and silhouettes from the past but men at least in day to day seem to keep their closet restrictive to graphic tees and jeans/cargos/sweatpants from reputable/popular brands. i really hope you inspire other men to be more expressive with their fashion choices.

I think it's awesome that you wear suits. It's reminisint the pre-1950's cool classic and seeing what young men and women wear today it's refreshing to see a young guy such as yourself wearing a suit. Remember, trendy suits come and go but classic suits never go out of style and your slender bulds really works well with them. Now all you need is a small men's vintage mechanical wrist watch around 32-34mm like a Waltham to finish it off.

My son who's 17 loves to dress in suits every now and then just because he loves to feel good and stand out, makes him feel good. He dresses down when he has gym in school. He has friends that do the same. My daughter too she's 24 has always dressed appropriately and has a beautiful style while keeping covered. They sell suits for a reason, not just for work but for anyone that wants to look good. Always wear whatever you want. My kids always saw me get dressed everyday, even if it's just to go shopping, I like to look good. I love seeing a young man well dressed and so well spoken 👏

My father was a businessman and wore suits for a living . I think your suits look fantastic and I really applaud your courage in both electing to dress the way you do as well as having the courage to explain quite candidly your journey to that destination . I think that this man here is one of the most proper and most well-dressed people here on KZfaq. I actually wear suits often as well, but it has a different origin story. My great grandfather was my primary inspiration, as he was a lawyer and a prosecutor. So, he would wear suits and ties to his cases. He gave me a bunch of his ties many years ago, and I still treasure them. I had two band directors who wore a tie every day, so that got me into the shirt and tie with a sweater look, and over time, when we had band concerts at high school, we had a tuxedo that we would wear, so that inspired me to get my self a full, complete suit to wear. And now, I have about 5 or 6 full suits that I wear. My grandfather on my mom's side was the one that taught me how to tie a tie, and I guess it was just those people in my life that made such an impact. And every time, I say the same thing. You don't see it much anymore. People just wear suits because they have to. Me? I wear them just because it's something I love.

If you haven't already, maybe you could do a video about your tie collection. I LOVED looking at my dad's ties. I used to sort them according to which ones I liked best (the more colorful and outlandish the better haha). He would, of course, later reorganize them in a way that was more convenient and easily accessible for him.

Love this!! Most days I'm in dresses, jewelry and makeup even to run errands. Got more women into it too. Hate how bummy society is. Wear dresses 90% of the time since I was 14. People asked why I'm dressed up...because to me it's art! My friend said when I'm sick in bed I'm more dressed up than women going to dinner!! Love it!! ❤

I did the same thing. Until last year I didn’t think twice about what I wore and would just throw on a T shirt and jeans in the morning. After getting COVID and being house-ridden with lingering effects for a long time, I decided once I recovered I’d start to look after myself and dress with intent. It started with just a few dress shirts, ties, a coat or two, and just grew into a collection of a dozen or more in a few months. I developed a lot of confidence in myself and didn’t care about that people thought. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t wear a suit.

DUDE! You are an inspiration. The whole look is you and that's the important thing. The suits, the shirts, the ties, the hair. EVERYTHING. I knew a guy much the same. He collected Fedoras & suits. The look was awesome. Life's too short to worry about what others might think. Be you. Our worries are often exaggerated out of fear of 'what might be' and unfortunately cause so much hinders people being able to be who they want to be.

Thank you, that was very wholesome - I too was the "weird" kid at school because I found formal attire comfortable, cool and fitting to any occasion, but tbf I mostly kept it in check with jeans and sweaters instead of suit pants and jacket - well - I wore a baroque esque frock coat on top, but it somehow worked out as pomp punk smth. What I want to say with this is, its always good to just dress whatever you feel and convey like. You stand up for yourself, just yourself and that is good :)

It is a shame that so many beautiful (and expensive) suits have been made over the decades. And in many cases their owners only wore them a few times. That they should now be in used clothing stores waiting for new owners, for the price many people would pay for a T shirt is sad. I remember a beautiful new dark blue suit I picked out, paying the most I had ever paid, and within months of bringing it home, I started putting on weight. I don't know if I ever wore it once, and it hangs in my closet, waiting for me to lose weight or die.

I love the suit look! I also think it's great that you have your own sense of style and stick to it regardless of what others think. Though, I will say, I'd love to see how you look in a fitted Ben Silver suit and tie with flat front pants. I know it wouldn't fit your everyday style, but I think it would be an amazing look for special occasions or something. He uses really cool fabrics and the cut would flatter your slim figure. A Tom Ford suit would look great, too. Both are expensive, but I think you'd look great. Maybe something to keep in mind for a fun future adventure in fashion.

I was curious about it, but it's pretty much as I suspected. You wear suits because that's what ya like. Some people might find it odd, but at the end of the day, it's really no different than anyone else. We all just try to wear what we enjoy the most and what reflects us. I like how you said you don't really spend time sitting trying to decide what to wear for the occasion. You just choose to have suits as your apparel, for no particular reason other than you can, and you want to. I say more power to ya, brah!
