2 жыл бұрынHere is the reasons why I went with the rim x and put the vudoo gun works 360 down I had too many issues with feeding. I was losing so much time during a stage that it was super frustrating.

What a fucking rabbit hole. I had a custom 6.5 Creedmoor built off a Tikka action Bartlein barrel and glass bedded from a gunsmith. Decent groups, but probably would have been the same from factory.

Hey Rick, my DP Gunworks RimX came home yesterday, spent the afternoon trying out ammo, seems to like SK the best so far. Gunmetal grey, 25.4” MullerWorks 1.20” with Arken EP5, it weighs exactly 15lbs and in the Pelican Vault I’m sure it’s 20. Thanks a bunch for this video, I changed my find several times before the final build but I love the simplicity of this combo. I still have to add something to the cheek rest, shooting in 90 degree temp today it gets a little slick. BTW, it is a fly killing machine.

Sold my Vudoo and my RimX showed up today......hope to have moved past the endless feeding problems as well. I didn't just lose time on stages, I was just out of commission. Last match I didn't finish a single stage without a problem.

@@projectmayhem2330 the RimX is fantastic. Has its own issues to learn like double feeding when you transition between stages and the bolt will pick up a round but I fixed that with a simple piece of shock cord tied off to the bolt handle and stock to lightly hold the bolt back.

Hi Rick, I have an order in with Kenny for basically the same rifle after seeing yours, mine will be very similar. I went with the MTU non threaded barrel at 22” and FDE color, I want to keep mine under 14 pounds. Is there anything you would have changed after having yours for a year? I just sold my Bergara B14R, loved the rifle but I couldn’t get the RimX off my mind😂. Great video

How much more accurate do you think this rifle is compared to the Voodoo? Was it accuracy or balance that made you switch... You and Ray will go down some rabbit holes in a heartbeat!!!

vudoo accuracy was great, just had to pray the bullet would get in chamber. I went for balance. Accuracy is amazing in both

Hilarious. I know 5 people with Vudoos and they are all flawless. I know 6 people with RIMX and over HALF of them have had significant issue from barrels to feeding ect.

Only difference between Vudoo and Rim-X is the Rim-X action is set up for pre-fit barrels and the Rim-X CRF design is a little tricky and susceptible to breakage. I have a Rim-X and love it but I have heard stories of people having problems getting them set up to feed properly. I shoot against several Vudoos and they do not have feed issues. I know some have had feed problems with Vudoo and they are fixable with the proper mag alignment same as the Rim-X, if you don't get the Rim-X mag aligned correctly you have feed issues. Why could you not put a Vudoo action in the Masterpiece Arms Hybrid and get the same balance. If you want a balanced rifle, Vudoo or Rim-X, get the right chassis and a barrel to match.If you want feed reliability, Vudoo or Rim-X get the magazine set right.

I have done plenty if not all fixes. I have seen issues with both. I disagree on Rimx profits I wouldn’t do a prefit I would have a gunsmith confirm. Hell in all rifles. Headspace is key for rimfire as much as center fire.

I have it being rebuilt by desert Precision gun works. I believe the new magazine coming out will fix the feeding issues which will make this a top notch rifle

Youre looking for an excuse to hate on your vudoo. I guarantee that if you called vgw and you spoke to the team there they would get you squared away in no time. Sometimes shit happens when combining different parts.

Theirs many reasons to choose this setup over a Vudoo. The argument of which is better ends when it is asked which one is more reliable during a match. Or which one is more accurate over all. This video is not to bash Vudoo, just an opinion of someone who has owned multiple vudoo's and now a Rim-X, a valuable perspective IMO. Until you own one (built correctly).... You don't know whatcha don't know

Good afternoon, I am currently in the market for a . 22lr precision rifle and of course Vudoo comes at the top of the list. After watching this video I'm hoping you can explain all of the issues you had with the Vudoo. What are the feeding issues you had, were they ammo related or just across the board? Which Vudoo rifle set up did you have? I called and talked to Vudoo today just to get some info, and I was told that there is feeding issues if you shoot non match grade ammo. Your new rifle seems pretty awesome, comparing it to your Vudoo what are things you liked about your Vudoo better and what is just hands down better with your Rim X? Sorry for all the questions, but you just might save me a nightmare of issues, and I greatly appreciate your detailed feedback. If you have IG I can message you on there if it's easier?

Love vudoo action very smooth my issue is ammo related. also the mags are a pain in the ass. I shoot eley match shot good with it when it shot but had many issues with FTF and feeding issues. the rimx built by dpgunworks has been flawless havent looked back. If Vudoo would spend some time and revamp the mags and change chamber to work with eley sell barrels that are 120 or 125 they would crush the market even more. I have way more to say but tired of typing look at some video prior to this video and you will see where i was doing really good at a match then my rifle would ack up and i wouldnt be able to finish stage and boom trophy gone.

I'm not shooting in competitions, just wanted a . 22 setup similar to the same . 300 wm so I could practice the basics and hopefully shoot the centers out of a 3" circle at 200 yards with a . 22lr. So if I can do that and not spend $3000 that would be cool. I already dropped $2600 on the Night force...
