NFDC sponsoring films was not what you would consider a free market philosophy but they were extremely important to Indian cinema.

I think the way we have started getting real news from alternate media channels like KZfaq it’s time to shift focus from mainstream films and look for good cinema elsewhere. Streaming provides a good platform for the upcoming talent but they need funds. The big production houses need to step up and fund good cinema and foster talent.
