he does have the blood of aurora and the hero like her sister, but as far as I have possession it only affects female characters, so they are the only ones who can unlock the power of the possessed but I wouldn't be surprised if cid found a way to remove that barrier while researching how to cure the possession

What makes him good compared to other isekai OP MC is that he gain all of it all by himself, there's no fancy gods give him special ability, he gain his ability in fight straight by hardwork cause he even master every martial arts in earth and mix it up for more efficient and effective uses, his power in magic is just him being able to use magic and further develop his power in magic by experiments and training.

Plus his mindset doesn’t limit his growth. When a knight of round claimed that Shadow’s abilities are the peak of the world his response was that there is no such thing as a peak.

When Cid and Alexia are in a bath together be tells her to stop staring at his Excalibur but she tries to play it cool and comments that it is small for a legendary sword but he says that it's true girth and power is hidden until needed. I am paraphrasing but that was basically the interaction, they may have changed it for the anime.

Cid also seem to have been using magic to rest his brain so he doesn't need to sleep. He often would spend his day as Cid as a child and then use his enhanced speed to go all over the place at night to hunt bandits and unknowingly rescuing future waifus like Yukime and Rose.

Another cool fact about slime weapon and it's conductivity is that highest material with best conductivity in that world is mithrill that sits at 35% to 50% but it's quite rare,only Nobles and and high ranked cult members have acces to it.Other fun fact is that Cid keeps his Slime sword solid all the time in manga/LN unlike in anime, whitch require quite a lot of mastery over magic energy.

1. Cid Can enhance his Senses to a certain extent with magic, such as eagle eyes for cheating on exams. 2. Cid has super-fast thinking speed which is helped by Magic to speed up the flow of electricity in his brain nerves, and helps him think of imaginary scenarios during battle to look cool as the ruler of shadows. 3. Cid's greatest strength or skill in fighting is hand-to-hand combat, you can see how serious Cid is when fighting Gettan, Gettan is someone who can make Cid take out his serious mode.

It is also interesting to note that in terms of raw statistics such as mana capacity, Cid is actually nowhere near OP. Ever since meeting Alpha at the age of 10, he experiments on his own body by forcing a controlled magic mutation: absorb mana in the air, take in enough to push the body's limits so it mutates and becomes able to absorb more mana, but *very* carefully so the body doesn't overmutate and end up going Demon Possession (only possible because Cid gets to practice to find the right threshold with Alpha's mutated body). With this, Cid's mana capacity grows over time. The average lifespan of living beings in the fantasy world is proportionate to the amount of mana flowing in the body, and by the time of Blood Queen arc (LN Volume 3), at the age of 15 Cid's mana capacity reaches a point where his expected lifespan is 300 years... which according to Alpha in the Master of Garden gacha game, is just *the average expected lifespan* by elves standards. Meaning, while Cid's mana towers over human dark knights, it isn't particularly impressive by elf standards, and dwarfed by monsters like Aurora or Elizabeth. It is just Cid knows how to make the best of what he has (extremely precise magic control, slime equipment having 1% mana loss when channeling mana) so each and every drop of mana is utilized to maximum effect. This is best displayed with Cid's ultimate technique: I Am Atomic combines Cid's prodigious magic control and slime weapon to absorb *mana in the air* (the novel even describes it as like sucking everything in the world), and then unleash it as a finely tuned blast. For I Am All Range Atomic, it is on such a level that even Aurora is surprised a single person can handle that much mana. In other words, Cid is a great example of relatively modest strength, but wielded with unparalleled skill.

Cid has one super power that wasn't mentioned. Yes he's smart, yes he trained. But in this world, even reality bends to his will. Such that even a carelessly thrown dagger will reveal a hidden base, experimenting with a random rot monster will end up getting him a talented organization and random pickpocketing garners him the Mcguffin. At this point I'm not sure if he dictates reality or if that reality brought him over to use him. He is oddly extremely on point and competent as Shadow after all.

One thing I disagree with is the op magic panel. Shadow doesn’t give people magic to cure demon possession he’s simply using his magic to cure there’s. For example pretend a persons magic is represented by a string and is how much magic that person has control over/has access too. Then put a few nots in that string which represent magic that spirals out of control. Add enough nots and you have demon possession. Shadow uses his magic to smooth out the nots and give the person complete access of their magic which is hence why they get stronger.

Honestly his personality kind of confuses me. So far he just made shadow garden by accident but everything he said turned out to be true. Then he makes a killing of money which he loves and he still feels like it isnt his because of shadow garden making the profit. And he makes literally almost every girl fall in love with him and he barely takes any advantage with that.

This is Seven shade pv instead cid Mist dragon never gave him power just gave the base some long lasting breath mark him as new ruler for defeating him and gave them new base alexandria to repel the intruder .
