Charli XCX is an artist I'd largely ignored but after seeing the outpour of love for BRAT I decided I MUST look into the reasons why she has become so popular. In this video, I provide an analysis on why Charli XCX might be the most influential artist in Popular music over the last decade.

Yes! I am super new to hyperpop but Sophie did keep appearing as a massive innovator of the genre and influence to Charli. This video was more highlighting how Charli has pushed the genre to the point where a lot of pop music is replicating her style! :)

What's interesting about her is the slow and inexorable rise. "Boom Clap" is only ten years old but in pop music terms that's reaching the Oort cloud, the outer envelope of relevance that few achieve. And here she is, causing more of a stir than ever. Her resilience is all the more impressive for being so DIY.
