I totally get that, it was easy to justify when it was super cheap. Who cares if the fries are stale when they cost $1.29, but they better be perfect when they're $3.50

It's not that much cheaper to make a homemade mcgriddle tbh and it has the added annoyance of you needing to eat it everyday for like a week when sometimes you just want a quick breakfast. A mcgriddle combo costs $5 and comes with a hash brown and coffee. A package of bacon already costs $10 on its own so you're already in the hole for 2 days just for the bacon by itself and then adding in the time you have to prepare it and the other ingredients as well I'd say fast food still has value if you want a quick breakfast every now and then as long as you're not going everyday.

You're definitely not wrong, I think the mcgriddle combo's like $9 in seattle unfortunately. That's a good point, if I didn't have the pancakes already, idk if I would have made it.
