I took my 2014 1LE to these guys in July. They were great. I didn’t get this sensor put in yet however I will be once I can nab some American Racing Long Tubes. The tune they did for me is fantastic with basic mods and well worth the money spent. All the guys I met and talked to were very cool and didn’t treat me like a noob. Customer service was the best and I’ve told many friends about my experience and will continue business with CMS! Thank you guys from my Camaro and I!

A lot of factors go into the dyno numbers, there have been as low as 360 something, up to 410+. The dyno type, whether it is weather corrected, transmission type. There are a lot more variables, but I can't remember them all.

2013 Camaro SS here. My owner's manual says to not use e85 as it may corrode parts? Did GM went into flex fuel later than 2013?
@brcraceworksinc.773 жыл бұрын
All the fuel system parts are ethanol compatible, the real reason is the computer system is not setup for it from the factory .

Nothing will "corrode"

Are you limited by airflow or injector size when using E85 in the LT1?
@xGR1MxREAPERx5 жыл бұрын
heavyjunkops if you plan to supercharge or turbo or a big heads/cam pack you will need LT4 fuel pump and injectors. Otherwise you are fine up to around 525-550rwhp is what most tuners day. The Lt1 injectors have a nice amount of extra room Built into them.

Willie Brown if you are late 03/04 c5 yes, but you’ll need larger injectors. If you’re an earlier c5, you’ll need to convert to a p59 pcm

How much is for e85 tune and what are the gains on a stock zl1?
@871jamie5 жыл бұрын
I have a ZL1 and been told that switching to E85 will get you upwards of 100 HP.
@kobedoesvidoes2 жыл бұрын
stock zl1 has 650 hp and e85 gives you 20% hp so about 130 hp

Correct. Same as regular gas needing retuned for mods

People always fail to tell you boosted engines like LT4 don’t quite work right with DSX kit. Engine starves for fuel due to exceeding the fuel system specs
@jar1450223 жыл бұрын
Now what happens when my wife puts 87 octane in cause she is used to putting it in her car??? And I’m serious will the tune be able to compensate while there is a blend of gas?
@brcraceworksinc.773 жыл бұрын
Yes, the cal still has a low octane timing table, and the knock sensors are still fully functional. The flex fuel cal has zero effect on those parameters.
@100pyatt Жыл бұрын
YES
@stocklt11224 жыл бұрын
Is this the dsx flex fuel kit?
@brcraceworksinc.774 жыл бұрын
No, this was our own proprietary kit.. all the flex fuel kits out there function the same way. Order the one you prefer and get it properly calibrated. Your results will be similar. Hope this helps.

can i run e100? i want to eliminate gasoline altogether
@todddotson64305 жыл бұрын
Yes. But, it's very expensive and very impractical. It's impossible to actually find pure ethanol at a pump. While pure ethanol is a great fuel for high power.. it's really exclusive to race cars. Long term use in road cars cause a lot of long term damages as it's corrosive. Plus it has a lower energy density. However! In race cars that's not an issue. As their motors are rebuilt after each race (sometimes more than once during a race depending on the rules). So their corrosive characteristics do not take a role like it would sitting in a car overnight for years. Finally, E100 is absolutely possible as a fuel source. But, it wouldn't be wise to run it in long term tracking. It burns at an extremely high rate with it losing 30% of "standard" fuels' efficiency. Power bump. Sure. Practical? No. Not E100. E85 is a better alternative. Which, before this comment spirals on knocking down E85 as a fuel. E85 is great to use when it's time to play. But, I personally wouldn't run it 24/7 nor daily it into work.

The fuel is cheaper though. You will probably burn 30% more, so you just have to figure out if corn-fed race gas is worth it at the time you fill up.
