Yeah arc is good and doflamingo is one of the badass and best written villian in one piece. But anime pacing is sh*t like they could have completed this arc in 45-50 ep but they took more than 100 episodes like bruh.

You can find out the story behind Ace getting his devil fruit, his first crew before whitebeard, and other things regarding his backstory in "Ace's Story", it's a book with two parts and has his whole backstory in there. The mangaka of Dr. Stone also redrew it as manga (since the original book isn't manga, it's just the type of book you'd find anywhere) and it's really cool!! If you're interested in Ace's upbringing i recommend checking it out

Of the three devil fruit types the logias give you a guaranteed level of strength. Paramecias are kinda a gamble whether you get a busted power or not, you could get a fruit like Law's or you could get the jacket fruit. Zoans just give you a physical amp unless it's some rarer version like ancient or mythical that just gives you a stronger amp or an amp plus a paramecia power. But really how many people can use haki? Probably less than 1% of the entire world can as we really only see top tiers using it. So you are untouchable to everyone except for the strongest people in the world, but even then as a logia you can dodge attacks in ways that would be impossible for other non-logia users.

20:35 Dude.. no joke once haki is trained and can be used at will logia easily becomes very weak, it's just that most characters that have them are strong enough without having to use their full extent of their powers in most situations. I personally feel like black beards yami yami no mi (dark dark fruit) is probably one of the strongest in the entire story. As it is logia but is very unique and almost like a double edged sword rather than the typical logia safeguard. Him having a second earthquake power is just a cherry on top for extra offense and chaos bringing.

Yea but that’s only if you land a hit on the logia user. If a logia user want to destroy an entire island, haki ain’t gonna stop that.

logia users can still dodge attacks in impossible ways just look at the Katakuri fight. They just kinda get complacent because they really never need to, probably less than 1% of the world can use haki. Simply eating a logia makes you stronger than everyone that can't use haki because they can't hit you. Eating a logia instantly makes you a top tier fighter, the same thing doesn't happen with paramecias or zoans.
