Why is my AWS Certificate Manager certificate DNS validation status still pending validation?

Didn't work for me.. cname value started showing after `dig +short` command, but certificate hasn't changed from "Validation pending" to "Issued"

@@awssupport in the end it worked, just had 1-2h delay from the external domain service that I'm using. Thanks for the tutorial 🙏Could be a good idea to add the info that a delay may occur, so the user don't think they're doing something wrong.

same for me. Typical AWS. Their docs and tutorials are AWFUL , overly complicated with loads of info that just makes your head hurt and yet lacking such vital information like "hey there's a delay on the display screen of ACM". Not blaming the guy on the video though, tutorial here was good but they have a long way to go in order to make things less confusing

@@rodrigohilkner7921 In my case it was the other way around; i've first seen the 'Issued' state and after 20 minutes the 'dig + short' was resolved. Definitely some lag info should be prompted to the users within your docu videos/articles. Other than that, thanks for the video!

i dont understand why we have 2 record here? and then we moved from test to another route? what if we only want 1 record.

Decent video on the pending issue for sub-domains, however.... This did not work for my situation which was when I transferred a registered domain to a new AWS account and attempted to create a certificate for that domain's new hosted zone. Neither the DNS nor Email validation worked, as they both timed out even though the CNAME records were added appropriately to the database.

Found this very helpful! I used the NS command and found out that the domain still had google NS. Changed the settings to default NS and then switched back again to custom NS and the certificate got issued.

Replace the Name Servers(NS) in your domain with the Name Servers (NS) of your NS record. Dashboard > Domain Registration > Domain > Domain Name > Action > Edit name server
