..good information and instruction. My problem besides the horn is that my DIC in my 2010 cobalt no longer scrolls and is stuck on Trip A. Don't know what my car kilometers are!

Hoping you check comments. Have a 13 Ford Escape. 2.2L 4cyl SE. Had been driving earlier when I'd run out of gas. Performed a 'durability test' on the steering column as I cursed myself for not stopping at the last gas station. Horn immediately starts going off and wont stop. Had to roll into a school parking lot to pop hood and pull fuse. Trying to determine what under the steering wheel may have been jammed/dislodged in the active position forcing the horn to endlessly blare. Would like my horn to work again trying to determine what may need replacement/reset. TYIA

So my 2019 Silverado just got broken into. Whoever it was picked the key hole and manage to get the driver side door to unlock. When he opened the door I’m guessing the alarm went off and scared him away. When I woke up my car was completely dead I had to give a jump start and a hour or 2 later I realize my horn wouldn’t work. I did what u said and heard clicking sound by fuse box. Could this be something else or do I need to take the grill off to look at the horn?

I fix my horn doing the clock spring change , first check the horn relay and check your horn direct from battery power to see if its working then change the clock spring and thats it you fix your horn switch (clock spring )you will need t25 torx special tool the one that have a hole in the center

+Jasper Mize Thanks for checking us out! These can definitely be caused by the clock spring especially if they all stopped at the same time. The only sure-fire way to tell however is to get it diagnosed or replace the part and hope it is. 1AAuto.com

Have 2011 Elantra Limited. Car was stolen. Replaced lock set cylinder car runs now. Also broken was plug where air bag and horn plugs go. The flat white wire connected to air bag was left dangling. Have managed to connect back together. But now air bag light is on, does not blink and horn does not work. It works when I lock car with remote. Also now the Ac compressor does not turn on. AC has always worked. Need help!

What about the transient supression capacitor. That runs in parallel with the power from the relay to the horns, but the capacitor goes to ground.

Its making the clicking noise when i press the horn but doesnt work, tried switching other relays the same exacr ones and same thing happens but when i lock the car the horn works

honda civic 2010 coupe, i swapped the horns and it doesn’t work, there’s no ground on the connector and the panic button doesn’t get the horn going either, i do hear the relay clicking on the inside though, any advice?

I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra SR 2.0 liter. The horon is not working. I replaced the horon fuse in the fuse box. I couldn't pull the other fuse/plug to check it. Any suggestions? Thanks

So, if you hit the "panic" button and horn sounds properly, would we assume that the horns are operational but it's something between the steering wheel button and the relay?

Similar problem on 2012 Navigator. Panic button and setting the security system honks the horns good and strong. The horn has a 15 amp fuse which is not blown. I've been told that there is no horn relay on this vehicle. Don't hear any other relays clicking when the horn is pushed. Apparently the relay's job is done by the computer that controls the security system rather than a relay. Have you figured yours out?

If your car is a bit old horn not working and electrics ok just give it a smack with a spanner or something - mechanic I know fixed mine doing that said they get crapped up over time - knows his stuff !!

Hello 1A Auto. I have a '99 Civic whose horn only works sometimes... I hear the relay's clicking noises when I press the buttons on the steering wheel. I bought another horn at a junkyard, thinking it was the horn, but it turned out not to be, as both work hooked up to a battery... What could it be? Help would be appreciated from anyone...

+Pedro Torres Thanks for watching! Make sure that you are replacing them with the correct amperage fuse first. If it keeps burning out then there could be a wiring issue somewhere that is causing a short.

Replaced the horns, relay switch & fuse and still no horn😢 i know the wiring is correct because i jumped power from the battery to the relay and it honks. But my steering wheel horn doesn't work🤷🏽
